Established in June 2018,theTaizhou Research Center ofDachenIsland Reclamation Spirit is a TU-affiliated municipal research organization and a base for popularizing municipal social sciences. It is devoted to building an extensively influential“revolutionary landmark”and an ever shining Beacon that integrates theoretical research, publicity and education, social science popularization, and revolutionary spirit inheritance.

Since its founding, it has integrated research strengths, including inviting well-renown scholars of key domestic universities to act as chief experts for key projects, establishing exchange and cooperation mechanism with the Hongchuan Revolutionary Spirit Research Center of Jiaxing College, holding a seminar on Dachen island reclamationspirittheory, and setting up a column for “Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit” inJournal of Taizhou University.

The center has won over 10 projects at municipal level or above, and 10 theoretical achievement awards at municipal level or above. The research team has been selected as Taizhou Key Cultural Innovation Team of 2019. The Research on Dachen islandreclamationspirit was approved as a key project of Zhejiang culture research engineering in 2020.
