The 15th teaching skills competition for normal students in Zhejiang colleges and universities, hosted by Zhejiang College Students' Science and Technology Competition Committee and undertaken by Lishui University, came to an end recently. Our school has made great achievements again as 26 out of the 28 TU participants won awards, with an increase of 7% over last year.
The competition is one of the Class A competitions hosted by the Department of Education of Zhejiang Province and Zhejiang College Students' Science and Technology Competition Committee. The competition consists of preliminary competition and final competition. The final competition is a comprehensive evaluation of normal students' teaching skills, including three parts: impromptu speech, simulated class (blackboard writing) and on-site defense. The students of our school were calm during the competition and achieved excellent results by showing solid teaching skills and good overall quality. Qian Jieqi from the School of Electronics and Information Engineering won the first prize of the comprehensive group.
The event, originally scheduled for December 2021, was postponed to March this year due to the epidemic. In face of a tight schedule and the requirement of live broadcasting, the teachers of the Academic Affairs Office, the Information Technology Center and the corresponding schools make all efforts to ensure the smooth progress of the competition and safeguard the wonderful display of the contestants, such as competition organization, venue camera arrangement, network technical support and so on.
Adhering to the principle of "being an excellent teacher", Taizhou University has always attached importance to the cultivation and improvement of normal students' teaching skills and practical abilities. The results of this competition test and reflect the training quality of normal professionals in our university to a certain extent.
