In order to carry forward the excellent traditional culture and display the fascination of Chinese traditional culture, on March 19, the press center of the CYL Committee of the University held A Wonderful Day of the Han and Tang Dynasties on Zhishan Square.

The activity is carried out in the form of garden party, consisting of game area, handicraft area and food area. In the game area, students participated in such interesting activities as pitch-pot game, archery, chess and reciting poems. They won delicious food and exquisite prizes while experiencing the cultural charm of the Han and Tang Dynasties. Activities such as round fan drawing, lantern making and hand string weaving in the handicraft area allowed the participating students to feel the exquisite skills of craftsmen in the Han and Tang Dynasties. Food is a faithful messenger, conveying the flavor of history. In the food area, students can experience a strong folk flavor. A sugar gourd, a piece of peach crisp and a cup of hot tea awakened students’ taste memory of traditional food. The wonderful performances brought by Wenyuan Sinology Society, Qiufeng Hongyan Drama Society, the Arts Department of the CYL Committee, the Instrumental Music Society and the Top Ten Singers of each school pushed the atmosphere of the event to a climax.

The atmosphere at the scene was lively and orderly, and the square was full of laughter. While showing TU students' good cultural literacy, the activities also allow the students to deeply understand and experience the Han and Tang culture, draw nutrition from it, enhance cultural confidence, and take the initiative to shoulder the historical responsibility of inheriting and carrying forward Chinese traditional culture.
