On the afternoon of May 19, the 2021 "Top Ten College Students" of Taizhou University were selected in the Student Activity Center on Jiaojiang Campus. Jin Xianlong, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee of Taizhou University, Jin Song, member of the CPC Committee and director of Publicity Department of Taizhou University, and heads of relevant departments and schools attended the event and acted as expert judges.

Sponsored by the CYL Committee and the Student Union, the selection of "Top Ten College Students" of the University was launched in early April. All schools, adhering to the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness, nominated a total of 16 candidates to enter the on-site selection process in accordance with the selection conditions.

At the on-site selection, the candidates made speeches on the stage one by one, and shared their fruitful and enthusiastic college life from the perspectives of academic life, scientific research competition, volunteer service, social practice and so on. The candidates' rich learning and work experience and wonderful on-site performance earned rounds of applause from the teachers and students.

In his concluding speech, Jin Xianlong fully commended the outstanding achievements and fruitful achievements made by the 16 candidates. He hoped that the students would have high aspirations, work hard, take responsibility, be realistic and do their best to set a benchmark in action. He also hoped that the students would take the selection of "Top Ten College Students" as an opportunity, promote learning by evaluation, encourage learning by competition, and make the best achievements of TU students with solid knowledge, broad vision and practical spirit.
