On May 28, the Taizhou University (Mechanical) team, mainly composed of students majoring in Material Forming and Control Engineering as well as Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation, successfully advanced to the finals of the National College Student Advanced Mapping Technology & Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition at the first place in Zhejiang Province.

The team won 12 first prizes, 10 second prizes and 9 third prizes in the provincial competition. 29 team contestants were promoted to the national competition, including Shao Chaoyu and Xu Yuan, students of Material Forming and Control Engineering, who ranked first and second in the province respectively.

The National College Student Advanced Mapping Technology & Product Information Modeling Innovation Competition is the highest level national competition of graphics courses jointly sponsored by the Teaching Instruction Committee of Engineering Graphics Courses in Higher Education of the Ministry of education, the Graphics Technology Committee of China Graphics Society and the Product Information Modeling Committee of China Graphics Society. Aimed at promoting teaching, learning and reform through competition, the competition cultivates the craftsman spirit of students, stimulates innovation awareness, explores the development direction of graphics, innovates the methods and means of mapping carriers, comprehensively improves the graphics ability of college students, and expedites and encourages a large number of excellent talents for the Chinese innovation. The competition is held once a year, and has been successfully held for 14 times.
