Recently, the summer social practice team of the Guangwen College went to Sanmen County of Taizhou city for a five-day summer social practice activity to carry forward Taizhou red culture and promote the potential of red culture, green environment and blue sea for common prosperity. During this period, the students visited the red sites and the green fields to listen to the warm stories behind the revitalization of the countryside.
On June 26, the first stop of the practice team came to Aolou Village, Tingpang Town. Lou Kezhang, Secretary of the village Party branch, shared with the team members the process of building the village through the advantages of red tourism development since 2011.
On June 27, in Shangrenzheng Village, the team members tasted Dendrobium, smelled roses, stepped on the mountain road, and listened to the explanation of how the village has improved the barren soil to grow Dendrobium officinale. Later that day, the team also visited Tingpang Red Memorial Hall, the former residence of Bao Ding and the 1928 block in the center of Tingpang Town market as a comprehensive commercial block focusing on red culture.
On June 28, at the Sanmen Historical Figures Sculpture Park, the members of the practice team paid tribute to the historical figures who had made outstanding contributions to Sanmen in various periods and fields. The practice team also went to Qinxi Village in which they visited Tianmen Gorge Emerald Valley Scenic Spot which was build on the basis of green waters and mountains as well as red culture.
On June 29, the practice team visited Hengdu Town and Pubagang Town in Sanmen County. Surrounded by mountains with zero industry, Hengdu Town is characterized by green agriculture and rural tourism. Pubagang Town is a representative of the development of blue economy. In this town, the practice team visited Xipu Village and Yujiaao Village to learn about how the villagers combine fishing and aquaculture to get rich.
On June 30, the practice team visited Huaqiao Town, interviewed the leadership of the town, and toured the local "Hongqi Gongfu fish pond". The team was told that the great success of Huaqiao Town in mariculture is attributed to the combination of talents and technology.
After five days of field work, the practice team made an in-depth investigation on the Rural Revitalization and common prosperity development of Sanmen from the aspects of red culture, green environment and blue sea. Sanmen's successful experience has proved that seeking development according to local conditions is a principle that must be adhered to in order to achieve common prosperity.
The summer social practice team of Guangwen College of Taizhou University stepped out of the school and went deep into the countryside to contribute to the revitalization of the countryside by turning theoretical knowledge into practice.
