From July 29 to 31, the final of the National College Students' Life Science Competition (2022, Innovation and Entrepreneurship), jointly sponsored by the National College Students' Life Science Competition Committee, the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Colleges and Universities, and the Journal of College Biology Teaching and Research (Electronic Edition) and organized by the School of Life Sciences of Henan Normal University, came to a successful end. The student team of TU has won 3 first prizes, 1 second prize and 1 third prize.
Among 5053 projects submitted to this competition, 563 projects were selected for the final defense. Under the careful organization of each school and the guidance of the instructors, the TU teams prepared and polished the projects and organized the simulated defense for many times. Finally, the project of Huang Wenxin, Wu Qian, Liu Ye and Tian Shengye from School of Life Sciences (instructors: Jiang Ming and Zhang Huijuan), and the project of Chen Shihang, Li Sen, Yang Yisheng and Lan Tianchen from School of Medical Sciences (instructors: Qian Cuijuan and Yao Jun) were shortlisted into the final and won the first prize of innovation. The project of Li Yuxin, Gong Jiachen, Yang Kebo, Yuan Xin, Chen Yingping and Fu Qi (instructors: Qi Xin and Wei Dongmei) from School of Life Sciences was also shortlisted into the final and won the first prize of entrepreneurship. This is the first time that TU has won the first prize of innovation and entrepreneurship. In addition, The project of Wu Yitian, Kong linhui, Wang Jiayuan, Huang Zhuxi, Qiu Nan and Yu Panyi (instructors: Wang Xiujuan and Wu Yubo) from School of Life Sciences won the second prize in the innovation category, and the project of Fu Donghuan, Xu Mengqian, Zhang Li, Wang Zun, Zhang Hao and Kong Weijia (instructors: Wu Yubo and Wang Xiujuan) won the third prize in innovation category.
The National College Students' Life Science Competition (Innovation and Entrepreneurship) is a national competition covering the fields of biology, food, medicine, pharmacy, agronomy and environment. It aims to cultivate college students' innovation and entrepreneurship awareness, team spirit and practical ability, broaden their scientific vision, and realize the organic combination of talent training, scientific research, social service and cultural inheritance.
