Recently, the 5th congress of Taizhou Doctoral Association was successfully held in the International Conference Hall of Taizhou University. Zhao Haibin, member of the Standing Committee of Taizhou Municipal CPC Committee and director of the Organization Department, attended and made an important speech. Luo Wenchu, deputy director of the Organization Department of the Taizhou Municipal CPC Committee, Yu Hongbiao, vice chairman of the Taizhou Association for Science and Technology, and the leadership of the Association were seated at the rostrum. A total of 238 doctoral representatives (50 in the venue and 188 online) from various institutions of higher learning, government departments, medical systems and well-known enterprises in Taizhou city attended the meeting.

Zhao Haibin affirmed the work and achievements of the Doctoral Association in uniting and leading all kinds of talents for Taizhou's economic and social development, and put forward three requirements for the work of the Association. First, he hoped that the doctors would bravely undertake new missions, write their papers on the land of Taizhou, integrate scientific research into Taizhou's development, strengthen their determination to take root in Taizhou, and work together with Taizhou, grow together with this city, play the role of the main force in the new journey of Taizhou's modernization, focus on key fields of industry, solidly promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, dare to break through the "bottleneck" technology, and ignite Taizhou's high-quality development engine with innovation. Second, he hoped that all doctoral talents will set a high standard, carry forward the spirit of striving to scale the peak and pursue diligently, continue to cultivate professional fields and constantly improve the industry influence, take the initiative to spread the voice of Taizhou's recruiting and attracting talents, try to tell the story of Taizhou's loving and using talents, and be a good ambassador for attracting talents. Third, the primary task of the Association is to serve and contact talents. To expand its influence and build a brand, we must strive to improve the identification and satisfaction of talents. It is hoped that the Association will strengthen its political guidance, help and guide, and open to the outside world. He stressed that the Taizhou Municipal CPC Committee and the talent work group will, as always, attach importance to and care for the development of high-level talents, provide the best policies, best services and the best environment for talents to live and work in peace and contentment and start their own businesses, and fully support the development of the Doctoral Association.

Dr. Li Junmin, president of the Doctoral Association, member of the CPC Committee and vice president of Taizhou University, made a work report on behalf of the Association council. The report comprehensively reviewed the main work of the Association since 2017. Based on the three aspects of "improving the political position and mission bearing capacity, strengthening the talent spire", "strengthening the function of new-type think tanks, providing intellectual support for the scientific decision-making of the party and government", "optimizing the role of bridges and bonds, and providing service guarantee for the development of doctors". The report stresses that with the concern and leadership of the municipal CPC Committee and the municipal government, and the strong assistance and full support of the sponsors, the Taizhou Doctoral Association will certainly be able to make further progress, better unite and lead the doctors in this city, make new and greater contributions to the new journey of Taizhou's modernization construction, and greet the victory of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China with excellent achievements!

The congress deliberated the work report and financial report of the Fourth Council of Taizhou Doctoral Association, passed the newly revised articles of association of Taizhou Doctor Association. The list of members of the Fifth Council was proposed and adopted. The first session of the Fifth Council elected the executive directors, vice presidents and president; The proposed list of secretary general and deputy secretary generals and the list of county (city, district) liaison offices and principals were adopted. Li Junmin was elected president, and Chen Xing, Chen Baofu, Xia Huili, Han Deman and Yan Wenjun were elected vice presidents; Zou Benli was elected secretary general, and Du Ying, Wu Yinyin, Sheng Yueming and Bao Hongguang were elected deputy secretary general.  

Li Junmin, the newly elected president, expressed her gratitude for the trust of the Fifth Council and the delegates, and proposed that we should not forget our original intention by shouldering the responsibility of uniting the doctors, playing a good role as a bridge, promoting scientific and technological progress and service transformation and upgrading, and providing decision-making consultation for local economic and social development.
