In order to carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture and promote the construction of a famous historical city in Linhai, the unveiling ceremony of Linhai College of Chinese Classics was held in Guangwen College on Linhai Campus on the afternoon of September 8, marking the formal establishment of Linhai College of Chinese Classics. Cui Fengjun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Taizhou University, and Wu Huading, Secretary of Linhai CPC Committee, jointly unveiled the plaque. Wang Zheng, member of the CPC Committee and vice president of Taizhou University, Gao Zuoming, member of the Standing Committee of Linhai CPC Committee and head of the Publicity Department, and Lin Min, vice mayor of Linhai Municipal People's Government attended the unveiling ceremony.

Jointly established by Taizhou University and Linhai CPC Committee and Municipal Government to select experts in traditional Chinese studies, Linhai College of Chinese Classics is under the joint management and leadership of the university and the city. This is another great achievement of the two sides in deepening their cooperation after the International Nursing College and Dashu Cultural Relics and Historical Architecture College. The establishment of Linhai College of Chinese Classics is mainly to enable high-quality leapfrog development of Linhai with academic research and cultural construction, and promote the construction of a new pattern of common prosperity. This also marks that Linhai is further on the fast track of cultural development with the help of Taizhou University's strong talent base and huge think tank.

Professor Zhang Jinghua, a "Santai Scholar" and a distinguished professor of Taizhou University who graduated from the Department of History of Peking University, is appointed as the head of Linhai College of Chinese Classics. He said that Linhai College of Chinese Classics is an open academic platform to carry forward China's excellent traditional culture and coastal history and culture. Under the joint leadership of both the university and the city, Linhai College of Chinese Classics will deeply study and tap the connotation of coastal history and culture, accelerate the research on the subject of coastal cultural highlands, and offer suggestions for the prosperity and development of Linhai. Linhai College of Chinese Classics will give full play to its role as an academic bridge, invite well-known scholars and experts in traditional Chinese studies, actively organize academic exchanges and seminars, and become a well-known academic platform in China and the world.
