On the afternoon of September 8, TU held a symposium on both campuses to celebrate the 38th Teachers' Day as well as the Mid Autumn Festival. Cui Fengjun, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Taizhou University, and Le Chuanyong, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Taizhou University attended the meeting and delivered speeches. The symposium was chaired by Zhao Xiaoming and Wang Zheng respectively, who are a member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Taizhou University. School leaders Pan Tongtian, Jin Xianlong, Hu Shaoguang, Li Junmin, Li Weiming and Yang Jianguo also attended the meeting.
Cui Fengjun, on behalf of the University, extended holiday greetings and good wishes to all teachers and staff of the school. He said that in recent years, the university has firmly adhered to the goal of "three steps" and achieved great success in applying for authority to offer master degree. These achievements cannot be separated from the selfless dedication and hard work of every faculty member. "The development of Taizhou University is attributed to the right time, the right place and the right people." Cui Fengjun said that he hoped that the majority of teachers would not forget to cultivate moral integrity and their original aspiration, keep in mind the mission of educating people for the Party and the country, strengthen their confidence, love their jobs and fulfill their duties, so that they can master professional knowledge so as to enhance students’ professional knowledge, and cultivate moral integrity so as to improve students’ moral integrity. All faculties and staff should work hard together for the development goal of building Taizhou University into a first-class application-oriented university, contribute our wisdom and strength for the leapfrog and high-quality development of Taizhou's higher education, the construction of Taizhou as a leading city of socialist modernization, and the building of an "important window" in Zhejiang, and welcome the 20th CPC National Congress with more outstanding achievements.
Le Chuanyong expressed his gratitude to the teachers for their positive contributions to the development of the university, and put forward three requirements for them. First, teachers should be mindful of the most important duties for the development of China. We should take the education cause as the foundation of the country, effectively train talents, and lay a solid foundation for national development. Second, teachers should not forget our original intention to educate people for the Party and the country. We should treat others’ children as our own children to educate and cultivate them. We should do a good job in education with our heart and heart. Third, teachers should integrate the development of individuals with the development of the university. Teachers should establish a correct overall view, strengthen team building, integrate personal efforts into team building and development, actively plan a good direction and project for the development of the university, strive for landmark achievements and achievements, and make greater contributions to the upgrading of Taizhou University.
At the symposium, 31 teacher representatives shared their personal feelings and gains in their work and put forward many constructive suggestions on talent training, teaching and research etc.
