On October 8, the 16th Taizhou University Normal Students' Teaching Skills Competition (Comprehensive Group II) successfully ended in the Smart Classroom of Jiaojiang Campus. After preliminary selection, a total of 23 students majoring in science education (teacher training) from the School of Life Sciences were shortlisted for the final of the comprehensive second group. The School of Life Sciences invited experts from inside and outside the school to form a review team.
With reference to the provincial teaching skills competition standards for normal students, this competition consists of teaching design and courseware production, impromptu speech, simulated teaching and on-site questions. After the competition, the expert judges made professional comments on all aspects of the contestants' performance, fully affirmed the contestants' theoretical knowledge and teaching skills, and put forward pertinent opinions on the problems existing in the competition process. Four contestants were selected to participate in the provincial competition on behalf of TU.
This competition was undertaken by the School of Life Sciences which did a good job in organizing the competition and formulated a detailed competition workflow to ensure the successful completion of the competition. The success of this competition has played a positive role in improving the basic teaching ability, teaching ability and comprehensive quality of normal students, promoting the reform of classroom teaching for normal students, and comprehensively improving the quality of teacher training.
