On October 25, US News announced the 2023 Best Global Universities Rankings, which included 2000 top universities from 95 countries around the world. A total of 382 Chinese universities were shortlisted, including 338 mainland universities. Taizhou University ranked 1774th in the world, 252nd in mainland universities, and 15th in nearly 40 universities in Zhejiang Province. This is the first time that TU has been shortlisted into this list.
First released by U.S. News & World Report on October 28, 2014, the Best Global Universities Rankings, along with the UK QS World University Ranking, the UK THE World University Ranking, and the China Soft Science World University Academic Ranking (ARWU), are the top four world universities rankings. The U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings focuses on the research performance of each university, representing its academic level and international academic reputation. Major indicators of this year's U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings include global research reputation (12.5%), regional research reputation (12.5%), number of highly-cited articles (12.5%), percentage of highly-cited articles (10%), 10% of published articles, and 10% of international cooperation.
