TU students won special prizes and first prizes in the China University Students’ Polymer Materials Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

On December 7, the final of the 10th China University Students’ Polymer Materials Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (PMC) came to an end. A total of 711 teams from 191 colleges and universities in 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions of the country signed up for the competition. Finally, 3 special prizes, 12 first prizes and 45 second prizes were selected.

After three rounds of contests, TU team of Ye Yingying, Zhao Zecong, Zheng Xi, Li Ruotong and Huang Lingzi (instructors: Yang Xuyu, He Zhicai) won the special prize (third in the country); and TU team of Ma Lina, Qin Zihao, Gao Xiang, Chai Yuying and Yang Yuheng (instructor: Huang Guobo) won the first prize (the fifth prize in the country), breaking the historical record of Taizhou University in the PMC competition.

It is reported that the PMC Competition has been held for ten consecutive times since 2013, and has become the most popular and influential competition for college students in the polymer field in China. The projects cover rubber, plastics, coatings, adhesives, fibers, functional materials and other fields.
