From December 10 to 11, Taizhou University ushered in the annual alumni homecoming day. More than 300 alumni gathered at their alma mater to participate in colorful homecoming activities.
In the afternoon of December 11, the third meeting (expansion) of the first board of the alumni association of Taizhou University in Zhejiang Province was held in the first conference room of Linhai Campus. Le Chuanyong, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Taizhou University, attended the meeting, which was chaired by Li Junmin, member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Taizhou University and Vice President of the Alumni Association.
At the meeting, Le Chuanyong was elected as the President of the Alumni Association, and the work report of the alumni association and the Guiding Opinions of Taizhou University Alumni Association on Strengthening the Construction of Local Alumni Organizations were reviewed and passed. The principals of local (industry) alumni branches made speeches and exchanges on the construction of branches and alumni work in turn.
Le Chuanyong said that it is a great honor to be elected president of the Alumni Association, which is the trust of all alumni and directors and a glorious mission and great responsibility. He pointed out that alumni are the most important achievements and strength of the school, and the school is the strongest and warmest home of alumni. The mission and value of the alumni association is to build the emotional community and development community between the school and alumni.
In the afternoon of December 11, the second Innovation and Entrepreneurship Alumni Forum of Taizhou University was held in Linhai Campus. Li Junmin, member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Taizhou University, and Vice President of Taizhou University Alumni Association, attended the forum. Three alumni, Ying Minghui, Zhang Mingming and Guo Weilong, were invited to give keynote speeches.
Li Junmin pointed out at the meeting that entrepreneurship is the main theme of the era and an important way for contemporary youth to realize their ideals and aspirations and reflect their value in life. She hoped that this forum activity can fully stimulate the entrepreneurial vitality of entrepreneurial alumni and the entrepreneurial enthusiasm of teachers and students, and promote the reform of higher education with innovative entrepreneurship education.
At the meeting, the three alumni shared their experiences on their entrepreneurial stories and insights, and accepted the letter of appointment issued by Li Junmin.
On the afternoon of December 10, the second "Alumni Cup" tennis match of Taizhou University was held in the sports ground of Linhai campus. School of Teacher Education (School of Physical Education) and the University Tennis Association undertook the relevant events, with a total of 16 teams and 32 players participating in the competition. Li Junmin, member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Taizhou University and Vice President of the Taizhou University Alumni Association, attended the event and presented awards to the award-winning teams.
During the event, the university archives received valuable archives donated by Xia Chongde, Yang Qitong, Yang Qifu, Zhou Xiaoyan and Shen Hui.
In addition, a series of activities were organized at various locations of Jiaojiang and Linhai campuses to welcome the homecoming alumni and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the school’s upgrading.
