On February 12, Yang Chunsheng, academician of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, visited Taizhou University on invitation. Le Chuanyong, Vice Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Taizhou University, warmly welcomed academician Yang and had a cordial exchange with him. Yang Jianguo, member of the CPC Committee and head of the Organization Department and the United Front Work Department of TU, and the leaders of the Market Supervision Bureau of Taizhou municipal government also attended the meeting.

On behalf of the school, Le Chuanyong warmly welcomed the arrival of Yang Chunsheng, and briefly introduced the school scale, discipline construction and development status. He pointed out that with the support of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and the Taizhou Municipal Government, Taizhou University is closely connected with Taizhou’s industrial development, and the school's strength has been continuously improved. He hoped that Academician Yang will pay regular visit to TU and establish a closer cooperative relationship.

Academician Yang, currently a senior researcher of the Canadian National Academy of Sciences, was very happy to be able to visit Taizhou University. Although the discussion and exchange time was not long, he was deeply impressed by the beautiful environment and rapid development of the university in recent years. He acknowledged the development prospect of the university and the layout of disciplines and specialties, and agreed that Taizhou University’s orientation to serve the development of local industries was very clear.
