TU Alumni and Alumni-owned Businesses Conferred the May Day Labor Awards of Zhejiang Province

Recently, Zhejiang Provincial Federation of Trade Unions officially issued a document entitled “Decision on Conferring 2023 Zhejiang May Day Labor Certificates, Medals and Titles of Pioneer Workers”. Ningbo Homelink Eco-iTech Co. Ltd., founded by TU alumnus of the Year of 1988 majoring in chemistry Wang Xiong, was conferred 2023 Zhejiang Province May Day Labor Certificate, and Xu Xiaohua, an alumnus of the Year of 1990 majoring mathematics, was awarded Zhejiang Province May Day Labor Medal.

Ningbo Homelink Eco-iTech Co. Ltd., founded in 2009, is a high-tech company engaged in the research and development, production and sales of plastic products and biodegradable products. Since its establishment, the company has been committed to practicing the sustainable development strategy, promoting scientific and technological research and development, manufacturing and service with high quality, high efficiency and high standard. Xu Xiaohua, an alumnus of the Year of 1990 majoring in mathematics, is a senior teacher. He has served as the assistant principal of Hongjia Second Middle School in Jiaojiang District, principal and party secretary of Dongshan Middle School (now Taizhou University Affiliated School), Jiaojiang Fifth Middle School, and Jiaojiang Second Middle School. He was awarded the May Day Labor Medal of Zhejiang Province and acquired various titles, including Taizhou Distinguished Principal, Taizhou Outstanding Teacher, Taizhou Outstanding Educator, etc. He was elected a representative of the fifth and sixth People’s Congress of Taizhou City. He was awarded the excellent principal of Jiaojiang District for ten consecutive years. He is now a member of the Legal Committee of the Sixth People’s Congress of Taizhou City, a mentor of Hangzhou Normal University in the “Quality Improvement Program for Middle School Principals in Zhejiang Province”, and a full-time supervisor of Jiaojiang District Education Bureau.
