On April 27th, Le Chuanyong, Vice Party Secretary and President, warmly received С. В. Курасов, President of Russian National University of Arts and Crafts (Российский государственный художественно - промышленный университет имени С.Г.Строганова), and held talks in Jiaojiang Campus. Present at the meeting are Chen Fangyue (Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of Taizhou Municipal Party Committee), Huang Qiaoqiao (Vice Chairman of Taizhou Municipal Federation of Overseas Chinese), Yan Lingfu (President of Taizhou Chamber of Commerce in Russia), Ke Shenghai (Dean of School of Art and Design) and Ye Gaofeng (Vice Dean of School of Art and Design). The meeting was chaired by Wang Aiqin, Deputy Director of International Exchange & Cooperation Department.
After extending warm welcome to С. В. Курасов and his delegation, Le Chuanyong introduced Taizhou's industrial characteristics, regional culture, school history and achievements. He points out that in recent years, Taizhou has made vigorous efforts to build such urban cultural brands as "Hehe Taizhou" and "Hehe Goverance". As a "manufacturing city", many industries in Taizhou are closely related to arts and crafts. Taizhou University, a local-based university, firmly adheres to the positioning of local, applied, and comprehensive education. It has been highly recognized by the local government and the general public, with its disciplines built on the industries, majors closely related to Taizhou industries and talent cultivation tightly integrated with local enterprises. He further puts it to that in recent years, the university has made great achievements in curriculum construction, student cultivation, international cooperation, and talent introduction. With many similarities in terms of running schools, both sides can maintain close communication, focus on cooperation and achieve win-win results.
С. В. Курасов expressed his gratitude for the hospitality. He pointed out that the Russian National University of Arts and Crafts, founded in 1825, is one of the most prestigious art universities in Russia. Focusing on industrial design, the university is high in teaching quality and has many famous artists among the teachers and students. He highly praised the achievements made by Taizhou University, and looked forward to multi-directional and deep-level exchanges in the future, especially the cooperation and exchanges in the field of automotive appearance design. He sincerely invited Taizhou University to visit their university.
During the meeting, two sides had in-depth discussions on cooperative education, mutual visits between teachers and students, and cooperation in scientific research, and reached preliminary consensus on cooperation.
During the visit, the delegation visited "Master Award" Museum and Zhejiang Joint Industrial Design Co., Ltd., both of which have deep cooperation with School of Art and Design. Later they visited Geely Auto Exhibition and School of Art and Design. С. В. Курасов said that each stop is more amazing during his visit to Taizhou, and after returning, he will further implement the agreed matters between the two schools.
