Asian Games Is Coming: the International School Held Friendship Cup Football Match for Freshmen and Junior Students

On May 11, the International School held a Friendship Cup football match for new and old students. Thirty players from 19 countries were selected to form 2 teams: Taizhou Dream Team for freshman players and Woza Weekend F.C for junior students. They brought a wonderful football match in the west stadium of Jiaojiang campus. Wang Aiqin, vice dean of the International School, attended the event and announced the opening of the match.

Upon kickoff, both teams quickly entered the game. The atmosphere was hot. The match was intense. It was the competition of skills, strength, and cooperation. In the 20th minute of the match, Woza Weekend F.C team seized Taizhou Dream Team’s defensive gap and took the lead with a powerful shot. After the goal, Woza Weekend F.C became more and more offensive and finally won the championship of the Friendship Cup with the score of 6-2.

The football match aimed to provide international students with sports competition opportunities and build a platform for communication and interaction between new and old students. The successful holding of the event further contributed to the creation of a strong sports atmosphere in the whole university and gathered the youth power to welcome Hangzhou Asian Games together.
