In order to further strengthen drug prevention education of Taizhou students, enhance the ability of students to know, prevent and refuse drugs, and continue to consolidate the achievements of “zero drugs, no drug addicts”, on the morning of May 12, Taizhou “Nursing Action” Anti-drug Campus Education Campaign was launched at Taizhou First Technical College.

Wu Ling, deputy director of Taizhou Anti-drug Commission, director of Taizhou Anti-drug Office, deputy director of Taizhou Public Security Bureau, Wang Xiaojian, deputy director of Taizhou Anti-drug Commission, member of CPC Party Committee of Taizhou Education Bureau, chief inspector, Jin Song, member of CPC Taizhou University Committee, director of Taizhou University publicities office, director of Taizhou Ideological and Political Course Integration Research Center, Zhu Liqiang, deputy mayor of Wenling Municipal Government, director of Wenling Anti-drug Commission, director of Wenling Public Security Bureau, and other leaders and officials from Taizhou Public Security Bureau Anti-drug Detachment, Security, Sports, Art, and Health Department of Taizhou Education Bureau, Wenling Anti-drug Commission and Taizhou First Technical College attended the launch ceremony,  which was hosted by Zhang Youkang, Director of Wenling Anti-drug Office and Deputy Director of Wenling Public Security Bureau.

Zhu Liqiang delivered a speech at the launching ceremony. Wang Xiaojian and Professor Zhang Tianhua, representative of the Anti-drug Education Lecturers Group and Dean of School of Marxism of Taizhou University made a keynote speech. Jiang Xinhua, a student representative of Taizhou First Technical College, gave an initiative speech.

As the countdown numbers rolled on the big screen, the leaders attending the ceremony jointly launched the Taizhou “Nursing Action” Anti-drug Campus Education Campaign and issued letters of appointment for eight anti-drug public lecturers.

After the launching ceremony, the first anti-drug campus education class for Taizhou youngsters began. The anti-drug lecturers team from Taizhou University gave the students and teachers on the scene an in-depth lecture about the dangers of drugs. Data and photos were displayed. In the group lesson preparation meeting for anti-drug campus education, the leaders of Wenling Anti-drug Office, Wenling Education Bureau and School of Marxism of Taizhou University gave an introduction to the anti-drug education group lesson preparation and the integration of ideological and political classes in schools of various levels.

The students at the activity site were enthusiastic and gathered around anti-drug education teachers to ask various questions. They were surprised at the profuse types of drugs and the dangerous damages, saying that they would never acquire drugs in the future and stay away from all kinds of drug-related criminal activities.

It is reported that on the day of the event, members of the lecturers team went to seven middle and high schools in Taizhou and gave face to face anti-drug education to more than 2,000 students. The campaign will continue through December of this year. It is open to all students in junior school and above in Taizhou. This will lay a solid foundation for the healthy growth of the youngsters and the creation.

The event was also attended by the vice principals of moral education or legal education of Taizhou junior and senior high schools, teaching and research staff of ideological and political class, key teachers of ideological and political class, lecturer group of Moganshan Women’s Compulsory Isolation Drug Treatment Center in Zhejiang Province, lecturer group of Taizhou University, students from Taizhou First Technical College, full-time anti-drug social workers and volunteers of each town (street) in Wenling.
