A grassland concert named "Singing with You in Jiaojiang" was held at MIX Space in Jiaojiang Hehe Park in the afternoon of October 14th. This concert was given by Taizhou University Student Art Troupe as a part of 2023 Jiaojiang Hehe Voice Grassland Concerts.
The grassland was filled with tranquility and beauty on this autumn afternoon when the unforgettable performance was put on the stage.
In the melodious "Qing Yu An—The Lantern Festival", one can feel notes with both ancient prosperity and vicissitudes of life jumping in the air. Then, two songs with modern music elements—"An Ordinary Day" and "Big City and Little Love" made the concert more lively and richer in layers. Afterwards, nine songs were played out in an orderly and passionate manner.
The climax was the passionate performance of "My Country and I", which has not only embodied our deep love for the motherland, but also is a powerful and touching hymn. When the song was resounded through the sky, it made the audiences full of excitement.
"I was disappointed when last week's concert was cancelled due to bad weather, but luckily this time it was held as scheduled. Listening to their singing, I felt like I was back in my college days and full of vitality again." said Ms. Li, a nearby resident.
The 2023 Jiaojiang Hehe Voice Grassland Concerts, with music as the carrier, are committed to building an internet-famous site in the form of street culture and street performance. A "15-minute quality cultural life circle" will be shaped to meet people’s needs for high-quality spiritual life, add radiance to the civilized city of Taizhou, and permeate Hehe culture and Happy Taizhou into the hearts of the local people.

Founded in December 2004, Taizhou University Student Art Troupe is under the co-leadership and co-administration of the Youth League Committee and the School of Art and Design. Now it has 185 members and seven sub-troupes, including the Xingyun Choir, the Yufeng Dancing Group, the Mirror & Sound Orchestra, the Unnamed Drama Club, the Qingjiao 1139 Electroacoustic Band, the Aegean Time Keyboard Orchestra and the Vocal Song Group. The university has arranged staffs to be responsible for the management, and full-time teachers from the School of Art and Design to regularly carry out teaching and rehearsals. After years of development, Taizhou University Student Art Troupe has become a well-known art troupe among local institutions of higher learning.
In recent years, the troupe has been active both on campus and on the local stage. It has been invited to participate in many major performances and art exchanges, making great contributions to enhancing quality education, enriching campus culture, and promoting the civilization construction of both the university and the locality. Since its establishment, the art troupe has participated in various art competitions in Zhejiang Province on behalf of the university and achieved good results. From 2018 to 2022, it has won 2 national first prizes, 17 provincial first prizes, 9 provincial second prizes, 5 provincial third prizes and multiple first prizes in Taizhou. Taizhou University Student Art Troupe is gradually becoming the messenger of the university's artistic image and the disseminator of campus culture.
