On October 19, TU hosted an opening ceremony for “Flowers blossoming Xinhu Lake: Shi Chunbo’s Chinese Painting Exhibition” on the second floor of the library building on Jiaojiang Campus. The event was attended by a diverse group of over a hundred people, including Wang Zheng, Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of Taizhou University, representatives from various news and media outlets in Taizhou City, officials from the university's Publicity Department, United Front Work Department, Local Cooperation Department (Alumni Office), library, School of Business, and other relevant departments and secondary schools. Notable attendees also included distinguished guests from the art world in Zhejiang province, and representatives of TU alumni, faculty, and students. The ceremony was presided over by the library director, Wu Shiyong.

Wang Zheng, on behalf of the university, extended his heartfelt congratulations on the successful holding of the exhibition. He emphasized that Shi Chunbo, an outstanding alumnus of 2004 from the School of Business, has achieved significant success in the field of journalism in our province. His decision to cross into the realm of painting and hold painting exhibitions not only showcases another facet of his life, but also offers a unique artistic experience to TU's faculty and students. This endeavor reflects great honor upon our university. The fact that Mr. Shi Chunbo has chosen to hold a painting exhibition at his alma mater is a special and highly meaningful opportunity, which deserves our deep appreciation and gratitude.

Shi Chunbo shared with everyone the remarkable story of his two cross-realm journeys in life, the roots of his creative process and the profound artistic insights that guide him. He emphasized his role as a journalist in upholding moral justice and a painter using his artistic skills for self-expression. Saying that Taizhou and his alma mater have played a pivotal and enduring role in shaping his life, Mr. Shi seized this moment to convey his heartfelt gratitude to TU.

The attending guests shared their thoughts and wholeheartedly lauded Mr. Shi's distinctive artistic creations, expressions, and overall artistic accomplishments. Following the ceremony, everyone savored the exhibited artworks, offering their comments and praise.

The exhibition comprises a total of 45 pieces, all centered around the theme of flowers. These artworks transport viewers into a poetic floral realm, crafted with a unique artistic vision, delicate sensibility, romantic colors, and an effortlessly ethereal artistic expression. Shi Chunbo’s Chinese Painting Exhibition has further enriched the campus's cultural ambiance, offering students a valuable opportunity to expand their artistic literacy. It has also provided a unique artistic journey for painting enthusiasts among both faculty and students.

This event is a collaborative effort by the university's Publicity Department, Local Cooperation Department (Alumni Office), School of Business, and library. The exhibition will be accessible for viewing until November 6, inviting all teachers and students with an interest to come and enjoy the artwork.
