In order to enrich the leisure life of faculty and staff, and live the philosophy of “Strengthening Physical Fitness, Friendship and Unity Through Sports”, the 5th TU Faculty and Staff Badminton Competition jointly hosted by the TU Trade Union and the TU Faculty and Staff Badminton Association was recently held in the badminton hall of Linhai Campus.
A total of 200 players from 16 teams participated in the competition. It lasted nearly 10 days and ended on October 29. The team from the School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering won the first prize, the team from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture the second place, and the teams from the School of Teacher Education, the Administrative Trade Union Branch, the School of Life Sciences, the School of Business, the School of Humanities and the School of Medicine made the top eight.
The competition adopted the system of elimination rounds after the round-robin. The whole process was warm and wonderful. The players cooperated, and went all out again and again to smash and save close calls, which merged into countless wonderful moments on the court. Jubilant cheers filled the gymnasium, so that the atmosphere of the game was even more intense. Each secondary union branch attached great importance that the relevant leaders came to the scene to cheer for the players.
After the game, an award ceremony was held in the stadium.
This competition is a group activity to enhance the sense of teamwork and improve cohesion. It not only helps to create a healthy campus culture, but also inspires the faculty and staff to devote themselves to their future work and life with more enthusiasm, and contribute to promoting the high-quality development of the university.
