South Korea’s Chodang University Delegation Visits Taizhou University

From December 12 to 13, a delegation led by Chae Soo-Chul, Vice President of South Korea’s Chodang University, visited our university. Le Chuanyong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of TU, and Li Junmin, Member of the CPC Committee and Vice President of TU, met with the delegation successively and had friendly talks on strengthening exchanges and cooperation.

Both of the parties reviewed the fruitful achievements made by the two universities over the past 24 years since the establishment of sister universities in 1999, introduced their respective development in recent years, and jointly expressed the need to further build consensus and carry out regular exchanges in the future, hoping to achieve greater cooperation. At the meeting, representatives of the two universities discussed the joint construction of the Silk Road School and the short-term and long-term student exchange programs, and reached a consensus. The meeting was attended by the heads of the Personnel Department, the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, the School of Humanities and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing.

During the visit, the delegation, accompanied by Li Junmin, inspected the UAV training hall of the School of Aeronautical Engineering, the Aerodynamics Research Institute of Aviation Industry and the College Students’ Entrepreneurship Park of the School of Entrepreneurship, affirmed the achievements of our university in the field of UAV, and praised our university’s innovation and entrepreneurship education and platform construction led by the Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit. The delegation also visited the Planning Exhibition Hall of the Taizhou Bay Circular Economy Industry Cluster accompanied by staff from the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of TU. They appreciated the innovation and entrepreneurship spirit of the Taizhou Bay Circular Economy Industry Cluster and the achievements made in its construction, and expressed strong interest in cooperation in the future construction of the Starry Sky Flight School.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, this has been the first offline meeting between the representatives of the two universities. It has deepened the friendship between two parties, and opened a new prelude to the exchanges and cooperation between the two after the epidemic, laying a solid foundation for the in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the next stage.
