The 10th Zhejiang College Counselor Quality & Ability Competition Awarding Scene

The 10th Zhejiang College Counselor Quality & Ability Competition sponsored by Department of Education of Zhejiang Province was held in Zhejiang Sci-Tech University from March 26th to 28th. Li Xin, a TU counselor from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, won the second prize. All together 126 contestants from 105 colleges and universities in the province participated in the event.

The contest was held for 2 days. Comprehensively benchmarking the new rules and requirements of the National Counselor Quality Competence Competition, it was divided into such three segments as written exam, case study, and heart-to-heart talk, demonstrating the counselor’s professional competence and work style from multiple perspectives, and thoroughly examining the counselor’s political and theoretical skills and comprehensive qualities. TU planned in advance, set up a training team, carried out pre-competition simulation training, thus laying a solid foundation for the contestants. In the end, Li Xin stood out in the fierce competition, and won the second prize, demonstrating excellent quality and good mental outlook of TU counselors.

In recent years, the university has attached great importance to the counselor team construction. It has implemented projects to enhance counselors’ quality and ability, and continuously carried out counselor “study day” activities, quality competitions, recognition assessment, counselor work salon, “Wenxin” reading club and other activities, in attempt to build a counselor team featuring political wisdom, operational sophistication, discipline and moral integrity, to provide a solid guarantee for students’ ideological and political education.
