Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education Office announced the list of pilot schools for artificial intelligence(AI) education application. Taizhou University’s Smart Classroom project was successfully chosen. A total of 100 schools and university were selected.

Pilot schools for artificial intelligence education application in Zhejiang Province are to implement the “Zhejiang Province New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan” and promote the popularization of artificial intelligence education in accordance with the requirements of “Zhejiang Province Education Informatization ‘Fourteenth Five-Year’ Development Plan” and “Zhejiang Province High-Quality Development Action Plan for Digital Education (2024-2027)”. Since the start of the project application work, Taizhou University Academic Affairs Department and Information Technology Center, based on the foundation of the previous Zhejiang Province digital education pilot school project construction experiences, formed a project application team to analyze and demonstrate the work foundation, feasibility, and promotion value of the project. They wrote the application materials carefully and successfully got the project approved.

Being selected as a pilot school for artificial intelligence education application in Zhejiang Province is a full affirmation of Taizhou University’s current information construction achievements, especially in the field of “artificial intelligence and its applications”. In the coming years, the university will use this opportunity to conduct in-depth research on the application of artificial intelligence to analyze teachers’ classroom teaching behaviors for scientific student analysis and precise teaching evaluations. This will help realize the vision of empowering university classroom teaching with artificial intelligence for high-quality development. It will also create a batch of replicable and scalable exemplary cases of innovative teaching methods.
