Holding a symposium at Ningbo Homelink Technology Co., Ltd.
Visiting the New Material Production System of Homelink Technology
During the visit to Ningbo Homelink Technology Co., Ltd., Zhu Jian and Le Chuanyong toured the new materials workshop and the product exhibition hall. They also held a discussion with Wang Xiong, Chairman of Homelink Technology and President of the Ningbo Alumni Association of TU.
Wang Xiong, who graduated from the Chemistry Department of Taizhou Normal College in 1988, led the company from scratch to become a leading enterprise in the global plastic tableware manufacturing industry through independent innovation. He said that, under the global “plastic ban” and China’s “dual carbon” strategic goals, the research, development, production, and sales of sustainable materials and packaging are inevitable choices in line with the development trend of the times. Homelink has always adhered to technology empowerment, continuously tackled technical difficulties, and unremittingly improved production efficiency and market competitiveness through digital transformation and the construction of intelligent manufacturing systems, promoting green development through technology empowerment.
Zhu Jian and Le Chuanyong highly recognized Homelink’s continuous emphasis on and investment in technological innovation and product development. They hoped that both sides could explore new cooperation models in areas such as scientific research and talent cultivation. TU will focus on enterprise innovation needs and leverage its advantages in gathering high-level innovative talents to organize experts and professors to precisely match and carry out various forms of innovative cooperation. It aims to jointly tackle some key core technologies and common technologies with enterprises, contributing to the country’s “dual carbon” development. At the same time, TU will fully play its role as the main front for talent cultivation, guided by the needs of modern industrial development. It will continue to deepen industry-university integration, innovate talent cultivation models, and improve the school-enterprise collaborative education mechanism, striving to cultivate high-quality applied talents with “patriotic sentiment, pioneering spirit, and solid skills” to achieve “synchronization” with the development of the times and “resonance” with industrial needs.

After listening to Feng Yichang’s career development of mutual integration and symbiosis between personal growth and bank development, Zhu Jian and Le Chuanyong were deeply gratified. They said that, over the 117-year history of the university, more than 100,000 alumni have been cultivated. These alumni have worked hard in various industries and many have become the backbone of their respective industries, making significant contributions to social and economic development and winning a good reputation for the university. They hoped that students would take excellent alumni as examples, “seek true knowledge, practice real skills”, cultivate the spirit of hard work and innovation, acquire solid and excellent skills, create extraordinary achievements in ordinary positions, and achieve success in the vast social arena.

In the afternoon, when Zhu Jian and Le Chuanyong visited Ningbo Honorway Smart Kitchenware Technology Co., Ltd., TU’s motto “Immerse yourself in ethical integrity; Arm yourself with well-timed facility” was prominently displayed on the wall of the exhibition hall. Guo Weilong, the legal representative of the company and Deputy Secretary-General of the Ningbo Alumni Association of TU, said that, after graduating from the business administration program of TU in 2011, he started a business with his wife (Wang Xixi, an alumna of the 2010 International Trade program of TU) and established Honorway Group (Hong Kong) Holdings Co, Limited. Over the years, under the guidance of the university’s motto, they have focused on the export of kitchen products and the research, development, and production of high-tech products with independent intellectual property rights. Their products have been exported to dozens of countries in Europe, America, Asia, and other regions. He is very grateful to his alma mater for cultivating his hard-working and striving spirit. He hopes to work together with his alma mater to strengthen collaboration and promote the university-enterprise synergy, so as to achieve win-win development.
“To which country your company has exported the most recently?” “Have the international trade sanctions exerted a big impact on your company’s business?” Zhu Jian was very concerned about the development of alumni companies when he visited the smart kitchenware exhibition hall. He said that TU is a strong backing for the majority of alumni, and alumni are valuable assets of the university. He hopes that this “visit to enterprises for employment expansion” will be an opportunity for both parties to give full play to their respective advantages, further achieve information exchange, complement each other’s strengths, and constantly expand the depth and breadth of cooperation. While promoting the healthy and rapid development of alumni enterprises, it will create good conditions for the graduates of the alma mater to obtain fuller and more high-quality employment.
