Taizhou Overseas Investment Salon and the inauguration ceremony of the Yinlun Silk Road School of TU were held in the International Conference Hall of the university on the morning of August 15. Cheng Weibo, Vice Mayor of Taizhou Municipal Government, Zhu Jian, Secretary of the CPC TU Committee, Le Chuanyong, President of TU, Wang Zhicheng, Deputy Secretary General of Taizhou Municipal Government, Yang Zhengmin, Director of Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Xu Xiaomin, Chairman of Yinlun Co., Ltd., Chen Bufei, Vice Chairman of Yinlun Co., Ltd., and Bo Yuhong, Executive Secretary of Taizhou Municipal Human Resource Association, attended the event. The event was held in two phases, the first of which was presided over by Li Jianjun, Vice President of TU, and the second was presided over by Chen Peigen, Director of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

On behalf of Taizhou Municipal Government, Cheng Weibo gave his congratulations to the successful cooperation between TU and Yinlun Co., Ltd. He pointed out that the state attaches great importance to the work of enterprises “going global” and foreign investment has achieved fruitful results. The purpose of organizing this salon is to let the majority of enterprises listen to the experience of the “forerunner” such as Yinlun Co., Ltd., and support the majority of private enterprises in Taizhou under the new situation to speed up and better their going global. He emphasized that in order to implement the “Belt and Road” initiative and create a national platform for talent training and humanistic exchanges contributing to the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative, Taizhou City has promoted the construction of “Silk Road School” in recent years. The establishment of the Silk Road School of TU is not only a typical initiative of colleges and universities to empower local high-quality development, but also a pioneering exploration of university-enterprise cooperation in the face of the new situation of enterprises. He hoped that the cooperation between the two sides can be integrated into and serve the economic and social development of Taizhou at a deeper level. The Municipal Government of Taizhou City will, as always, support TU to become an industry-academia-research examplary platform with special characteristics and high level of performance, and the “Belt and Road” national talent cultivation and humanistic exchange highland. He hoped that more colleges and enterprises will participate in the construction of “Silk Road School” in the future so as to better serve the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the opening up of Taizhou, and to share the fruits of high-quality development of open economy.

On behalf of TU, Zhu Jian welcomed all the leaders and guests, and expressed his thanks to the friends from all walks of life who had long been concerned about and supported the development of the university. At the salon, he introduced Zhejiang Province’s efforts in promoting the high-quality development of “Silk Road School” and Taizhou City’s “Overseas Taizhou” construction action. He focused on TU’s achievements in terms of application-oriented schooling. He pointed out that the joint construction of the Silk Road School of TU with Yinlun Co., Ltd. is a powerful way to respond to the “Belt and Road” initiative but also a bold attempt to help the construction of “Overseas Taizhou” through the university-enterprise collaboration. He hoped that the municipal government and relevant units would continue to support the work of TU. He also hoped that Yinlun Co., Ltd. will give full play to its advantages in the overseas market, and that the university and enterprise will join hands to explore the establishment of an overseas training base featured with the integration of theory and practice, so as to build a better bridge and a thicker foundation for the training of staff at home and abroad, scientific research cooperation, joint cultivation of students, and joint education with overseas universities.

Le Chuanyong and Xu Xiaomin signed the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement of the Yinlun Silk Road School of TU” on behalf of TU and Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd. respectively. Cheng Weibo, Zhu Jian, Wang Zhicheng and Yang Zhengmin witnessed the signing of the agreement together. Cheng Weibo and Zhu Jian unveiled the license plate for the Yinlun Silk Road School of TU.

At the 2nd phase, Chen Bufei, Vice Chairman of Yinlun Co., Ltd., gave a lecture on “Yinlun’s Practice of Going-global”. He introduced the experience of going global of Yinlun and shared the ways to cope with the complex international situation by focusing on ten aspects, including the basic overview of Yinlun, the reasons for overseas investment, the key success factors of overseas investment, the main factories of Yinlun’s overseas investment, and the main initiatives of Yinlun’s overseas investment. His unique insights, passionate narration and penetrating analysis opened the eyes of the delegates, and gave them a more in-depth understanding of enterprises going overseas. Hu Qi, Director of Beijing Grandway (Hangzhou) Law Offices, gave a lecture entitled “Cross-border M&A of A-share Listed Companies—A Perspective of a Domestic Lawyer”. As a senior lawyer with profound professional background in the field of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, she focused on the overall situation of cross-border mergers and acquisitions market of A-share listed companies, the comparison of cross-border mergers and acquisitions core models, cross-border mergers and acquisitions process and regulation, and the key points of cross-border mergers and acquisitions of A-share listed companies. She expounded on cross-border mergers and acquisitions of A-share listed companies with classic cases, which was a very interesting and enlightening talk.

The Yinlun Silk Road School of TU will mainly focus on the globalized talent cultivation by carrying out the training model of “language plus vocational skills”, the localized talent cultivation by carrying out the joint schooling of the “2+2” and “3+1” modes with famous overseas universities, the achievement of the enterprise technological breakthroughs based on the in-depth university-enterprise cooperation in scientific research, and the promotion of the language and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries. It will help to tell “Taizhou story”, “Zhejiang story”, and “China story” well, and contribute to the going-global of Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd.

It is reported that this event is hosted by TU and Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, organized by the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of the University, and co-organized by Tiantai Bureau of Commerce and Taizhou Cross-border Investment Service Alliance. There were nearly 140 attendees during the event, including representatives of Taizhou Municipal Government Office, Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce and other relevant municipal departments, the bureaus of commerce and relevant departments of various counties (cities and districts), departments and secondary schools of TU, heads from Yinlun Co., Ltd., representatives of some cross-border investment service alliance units, representatives of more than 80 enterprises, and representatives of TU’s international students.
