Establishment Ceremony of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU
The Establishment Ceremony of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU was held in Wenzhou on September 22. Zhu Jian, Secretary of the CPC TU Committee, Yue Chuanyong, President of TU and President of TU Alumni Association, Li Junmin, Vice President of TU and Vice President of TU Alumni Association, and Lian Jianlin, an alumnus of the 1996 graduation, attended the ceremony. Cheng Yingjian, an alumnus of the 2004 graduation, presided over the ceremony.
The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthem of the People’s Republic of China.
Cheng Yingjian, on behalf of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU, read out the preparatory work report for the establishment ceremony.
Li Junmin announced the establishment document of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU.
Zhu Jian, Yue Chuanyong, Li Junmin, Lian Jianlin, Fang Shuangqing, Mo Xiaoye, and Cheng Yingjian pressed their handprints on the screen, witnessing the official establishment of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU.
Yue Chuanyong presented appointment letters to Mo Xiaoye, Honorary President of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU and President of the Taizhou Chamber of Commerce at Wenzhou, and Fang Shuangqing, President of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU, Chairman of the Red Tomato Education Group, and an alumnus of the 2007 graduation.

Flag Presentation and Inauguration Ceremony
Yue Chuanyong presented a flag to Fang Shuangqing, President of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU and conducted the inauguration ceremony.
Li Junmin presented a plaque of “TU School-Enterprise Cooperation Base” to Wenzhou Sico Spraying Technology Co., Ltd., a plaque of “TU Alumni Home” to Wenzhou Red Tomato Art Training Co., Ltd., a plaque of “TU Education Practice Base” to Datoufan Art Training Co., Ltd. and Wenzhou Cheetos Art Training Co., Ltd., a plaque of “TU Off-campus Practice Base” to Longgang Xingda Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., and a plaque of “TU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice Base” to Wenzhou Shuoyuan Marketing Planning Co., Ltd.
At the ceremony, Ying Zhonggang, Vice President of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU, and Chen Xianbiao, an alumnus of the 2007 graduation, presented intangible cultural heritage items and calligraphy works of Wenzhou to the alma mater on behalf of the association, expressing their best wishes to the university.
Speech by Fang Shuangqing, President of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU
In his speech, Fang Shuangqing fondly recalled his youth, expressing gratitude for his teachers’ teachings and classmates’ friendships. He said that the preparation of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU was like a hopeful journey, sowing seeds of hope during the Spring Equinox and harvesting during the Autumn Equinox, embodying the efforts and dedication of every participant. Fang stated that they would uphold the mindset of “success is not necessarily achieved at my term” and the responsibility of “I should contribute to the success”, follow the constitution of the Alumni Association, actively respond to alumni expectations and the university’s needs, strive to strengthen connections and communication among alumni, contribute ideas and suggestions for the university’s development, and make contributions to the social development of the Wenzhou region.
Speech by Mo Xiaoye, Honorary President of the First Council of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU
In his speech, Mo Xiaoye briefly introduced the Taizhou Chamber of Commerce, Wenzhou City, noting that the chamber has always adhered to the purpose of “serving members, society, and the government with a scientific outlook on development to promote economic development between Wenzhou and Taizhou,” closely focusing on the overall development of both regions, continuously strengthening self-construction, optimizing service functions, and actively building exchange platforms. He expressed that being the Honorary President of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU was both a great honor and a heavy responsibility, and he would actively promote cooperation between the chamber and the university, build platforms for project cooperation, innovation and entrepreneurship, resource sharing, and provide diversified and high-quality services for Wenzhou alumni, contributing to the grand goals of “upgrading to a higher-level university, applying for doctoral programs, and becoming a top-tier institution.”
Speech by Zhu Jian, Secretary of the CPC TU Committee
In his concluding speech, Zhu Jian extended his warm welcome to the guests and alumni present and expressed heartfelt gratitude to friends and partner organizations from all walks of life in Wenzhou who had long cared for and supported the university’s development, as well as to those who had diligently prepared for the ceremony. Zhu Jian reviewed the university’s history and achievements in various fields in recent years, stating that following the convening of the university’s fourth Party congress, they would stick to the goals of “upgrading to a higher-level university, applying for doctoral programs, and becoming a top-tier institution,” adhere to the four strategies of “focusing on moral education, discipline leadership, talent strengthening, and university-city symbiosis,” vigorously cultivate high-quality applied talents with “patriotic feelings, pioneering spirits, and solid skills,” strive to create a harmonious, vibrant, beautiful, and happy campus, remain true to their original aspiration, forge ahead courageously, and accelerate the establishment of a higher-level university.
Zhu Jian said that the establishment of the Wenzhou Alumni Association of TU was a significant event in the university’s alumni work and a joyous occasion that Wenzhou alumni had been looking forward to. He expected to establish closer ties and cooperation with alumni to jointly push the university and alumni’s careers to new heights. He hoped that the Wenzhou Alumni Association would fully leverage Wenzhou’s unique advantages and abundant resources as an economically developed city, strengthen communication and cooperation with the alma mater and alumni associations across the country, jointly explore an alumni work model with Wenzhou characteristics, and expand the influence and contribution of the Wenzhou Alumni Association.
The ceremony concluded with the singing of the TU anthem.
Teachers from TU and representatives of alumni from various industries in Wenzhou attended the ceremony.
