Symphony of Music and Painting: Dialogue between Chinese and French Artists
In the evening, the “Mirror Sound” Orchestra of TU Student Art Troupe opened the concert with the song “Dunhuang New Words” at the concert hall of the School of Art and Design. Immediately after, French conductor Jean-Philippe VANBESELAERE, soprano Ms. Qiu Shuwei of Shanghai Conservatory of Music and the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra performed together, bringing a series of familiar and wonderful music to the audience, winning a burst of applause.
On the stage, the musicians performed the music emotionally, while Mr. Wu Limin’s paintings were scrolling on the big screen. Ms. Qiu Shuwei’s voice was like the sunshine in the morning sun, warm and poetic, clear and full of power; Wu Limin’s paintings were like a deep and vast symphony, rich and profound, singing the sorrow and happiness of life. This is a wonderful encounter between the songs of France and Chinese ink, crossing the boundaries of time and space, creating endless possibilities.
The friendship between China and France will last, and the future will be more brilliant. The series of activities of TU to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France is not only an artistic event, but also a bridge of cultural exchange between the two countries. Let’s look forward to more cooperation and exchanges in the future.
