On the afternoon of November 20th, the third themed salon of “Youth Idea Sharing” was held by the CPC University Administrative Committee at Party-building Center. The event aimed to further strengthen the construction of the university administrative team, care about the growth of young administrative cadres, and motivate them to actively take on responsibilities. Chaired by Zhang Meifen (Full-time Deputy Secretary of the CPC University Administrative Committee), Zhu Jian, Secretary of the CPC TU Committee, attended the event to exchange his ideas on growth with young administrative cadres. Present at the salon were Cai Haijiang (Member of the CPC TU Standing Committee, Director of the Publicity Department and Secretary of the CPC University Administrative Committee), Zheng Lijun (Member of the CPC TU Standing Committee and Director of the Personnel Department), and more than 20 representatives of young administrative cadres.
At the salon, young administrative cadres exchanged their ideas on development based on their working experiences. Their passionate and energetic talks fully demonstrated the spirit of being positive, enterprising and courageous to take on their responsibilities.
University Party Secretary Zhu Jian attends the event
Zhu fully affirmed the hard work of university administrative cadres and pointed out that they play an important role in political leadership, bridge and linkage, communication and coordination, and demonstration, whose work quality directly affects whether the university’s decisions can be effectively implemented and whether policies can be smoothly carried out. Listening attentively, Zhu interacted with everyone, shared his personal growth experience, and expressed his sincere expectations in strengthening their own construction in five aspects.
Firstly, to be an “expert” in assisting decision-making. Only by standing high and looking far ahead can we make accurate plans. We must correctly understand and comprehend the intentions of the university party committee, be good at providing advice, and put forward valuable opinions and suggestions. Think about problems, carry out work, and ensure implementation from the perspective of the university.
Secondly, to be a “master” in unity and cooperation. With a broad mind to deny merit and take blame, we should play the role of communication well to actively reconcile contradictions and coordinate actions. Do a good job in “three services” of service development, service decision-making, and service implementation.
Thirdly, to be a “strong hand” in discovering and solving problems. Be problem-oriented, goal-oriented, and result-oriented. Carry out in-depth investigations and research. Be good at thinking, reflecting, and grasping the main contradictions, and then come up with practical and effective solutions.
Fourthly, to be a “skilled hand” in exploration and innovation. Focusing on the strategic goals of “upgrading to a university, applying for Doctoral Degree Programs, and building a first-class university,” we should, based on our own positions, constantly update our ideas and further think about such questions as “What is the key work?” “Which method should be adopted?” and “What kind of effect is to be achieved?” By active exploration and innovation, we should bravely overcome difficulties and creatively carry out work.
Fifthly, to be a “good hand” that adheres to the bottom line of integrity. Calculate the “seven kinds of account” of life, consciously cultivate political morality, and strictly abide by the “bottom line” of ideals and beliefs. Do not cross the “red line” of honesty and self-discipline. Keep the political nature of honesty and integrity.
Zhu hopes that university administrative cadres can develop a habit of continuous learning through thinking and reflection. Adhering to learning by doing and doing by learning, they should implement their learning achievements into their job and better promote the university’s development; The CPC University Administrative Committee should concentrate on party-building, advance development, strengthen services, enhance the deep integration of party-building and office work, and promote high-quality development of our cause.
The third themed salon of “Youth Idea Sharing”
Heads of relevant departments such as University Administration Office and Organization Department participated in the salon.
“Youth Idea Sharing” salon is a part of University Administrative Cadre Development Forum, which is an important measure to fully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on party-building work in government agencies, and also a powerful measure for the CPC University Administrative Committee to serve the university in building strong “three teams” and pursuing dreams of “three high and three new.” The forum has two kinds—“Wisdom Lecture” and “Youth Idea Sharing.” Organized once or twice per semester, it aims to actively guide university administrative cadres to “be able to do, be brave to do, and do well,” contributing their wisdom and strength to accelerate the construction of TU.
