Zhejiang TV News reports the work of our university’s cultural commissioner

In the first half of this year, after the provincial and municipal party committees issued a recommendation notice for cultural commissioners, the University Party Committee attached great importance and strictly selected 12 teachers, including Wang Haiya, Ye Gaofeng, Qu Yanfei, Tang Shanfeng, etc. as provincial and municipal cultural commissioners in accordance with the recommendation requirements. They were dispatched to Linhai City, Wenling City, Tiantai County, Xianju County, and Sanmen County to guide and serve paired rural areas by publicizing theoretical policy, providing cultural service and assisting cultural industry.

The university always adheres to its function of “cultural inheritance,” actively provides conditions and sufficient policies, and fully supports the work of cultural commissioners. The Publicity Department of the CPC TU Committee, together with the Personnel Department and the Humanities and Social Sciences Department, attaches importance to providing guidance throughout the process by regularly participating in activities organized by cultural commissioners, actively building communication platforms, constantly communicating and collaborating with stationed areas, and solving practical problems and difficulties encountered in their work. By building platforms of communication and sharing for both provincial and municipal cultural commissioners, the university strives to promote relevant projects and form joint working force. With the strong support of the university, the cultural commissioners’ work highlights their unique features. They have innovatively planned such cultural and artistic programs as Shaoxing opera rap and situation dramas, held “Dramas with Reasoning” special evenings, explored agricultural products of “Five Red,” created cultural gift brand of “Peace and Politeness,” organized “Qinxi Village Internet Celebrity Check-in Spot Design Competition,” and built Tianmenxia Waterfall Cafe, all of which have been widely praised by the local people. Pan Junming, Member of the Standing Committee of Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of Publicity Department, has given full recognition in his leading a team to investigate the work of our university’s cultural commissioners.

Next, the university will continue to give full play to the role of the “support team” to pool, schedule, and allocate possible resources based on reality. Efforts will be concentrated on providing necessary human, material, and financial support for cultural commissioners to assist them in rooting themselves in their positions and deepening their work.
