Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education issued on December 2 the “Notice of the Office of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education on the Announcement of the Results of the Comprehensive Reform and Excellence Construction Project for the Quality Enhancement of Ideo-political Work in Zhejiang Universities in the Year of 2025”. Two projects from TU, namely, “Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit Educational Base” and “Taizhou Hehe ‘The Flavor of the Truth’ Integrated Ideological and Political Education Practice in Zhejiang Province,” were selected as the “Red Culture Promotion Base in Zhejiang Province in the Year of 2025” and the “Typical Case of Ideo-political Education Integration in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Education in 2025” respectively.
Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit Education Base
“Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit Educational Base” was formally established on June 26, 2018, aiming to make good use of Dachen Island Reclamation Spirit resources, spread the revolutionary spirit, and carry out the education of revolutionary traditions, patriotism, and cast the sense of community of the Chinese nation. Since its completion, it has received a total of nearly 100 high level leaders and more than 50,000 people from all walks of life, such as enterprises and public institutions, schools and universities. At present, it has become a unique landmark of ideological and political education in Taizhou and even in Zhejiang. China Central Television (CCTV) made a special report on Dachen Island Reclamation. Several media such as CCTV News, China Education Television (CETV) Channel 1, Guangming Daily, China Education News and Zhejiang Daily, have followed up on the report. The base has been approved as a training base for teachers of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities in Zhejiang Province.
“The Flavor of the Truth” Integrated Ideo-political Education Practice
“Taizhou Hehe ‘The Flavor of the Truth’ Integrated Ideological and Political Education Practice in Zhejiang Province” centers on the fundamental task of establishing morality and training people and the creation of the “Harmony of ideological and political” parenting brand. The practice focuses on the vertical convergence of teaching content, training methods and teaching evaluation and the horizontal convergence of policy integration, resource integration and platform integration, as well as the synergistic development of teachers, activities and regional synergy. Since the start of the practice, team members have published nearly 30 papers in core journals and newspapers and 2 textbooks, and obtained national social sciences projects and provincial and ministerial projects. Four achievements have been recognized by Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education, and nearly 100 reports have been made, with over 50 instances of coverage by Guangming Daily and other media outlets.
