The Fourth Meeting (Enlarged) of the First Council of TU Alumni Association held

The Fourth Meeting (Expanded) of the First Council of TU Alumni Association & the Preparatory Meeting for New Leadership Election of TU Alumni Association was held on December 7 in the first conference room of the administrative building of Jiaojiang Campus. Yue Chuanyong, University President, Deputy Secretary of the CPC TU Committee and Director of TU Alumni Association, attended the meeting. Li Junmin, Vice President, Member of the CPC TU Standing Committee and Vice Director of TU Alumni Association, presided over the meeting. Members of the Board of Directors of TU Alumni Association, people in charge of the local alumni associations, and those in charge of the work of the alumni of TU’s academic schools participated in the meeting.

The meeting was opened with the university song. Participants watched a promotional video of TU to understand the university’s historical heritage, dynamic development trend and brilliant future.

Yue Chuanyong makes a report on the work of TU Alumni Association

Yue Chuanyong made a work report on behalf of the alumni association. Yue sorted out the achievements and experiences of the alumni association since the third meeting of the first council, pointed out the existing problems and deficiencies, and put forward a clear plan and outlook for future work. He said that over the past two years, the sub-alumni associations’ work has been powerful. A diversified interconnection structure has been gradually taking shape. The working mechanism has been gradually improved and standardized. An orderly pattern has steadily been constructed. The alumni interaction is diversified and innovative. On the future work of TU Alumni Association, Yue Chuanyong stressed the need to speed up the construction of alumni organizations, innovate alumni work mechanism, continue to enhance the security capacity, comprehensively achieve win-win situation for all parties, and inject momentum for the university’s development.

At the meeting, TU Alumni Association nominated the leading group of the new session and passed the work program for the new session.

During the exchange session, attending representatives shared the valuable experiences of alumni organization construction, and drew creative blueprints for the coming year’s alumni homecoming activities.

This meeting was one of the series of activities for the 2024 Alumni Homecoming, which has strengthened the bond of alumni friendship, anchored the forward direction of the alumni association, and gathered magnificent power for the university to “upgrade to a higher-level university, apply for doctoral degree conferring programs, and excel as a first-class university.”
