Zhejiang Provincial Education Working Committee Office has recently announced the first batch of key construction unit list of the “Talent Homeland” construction project in colleges and universities. The “Red and Blue Talent Homeland” by TU’s School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering was selected.
The “Talent Homeland” construction project is a significant initiative of Education Working Committee of Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee to implement the top-priority strategies of innovating and strengthening the province through talent, and enhancing the integrated development of education, science and technology and talent. The university’s Party Committee has always attached great importance to talent work, adhering to the strategy of strengthening the university through talent. Adopting a “grand view of talent,” it has opened up various paths for nurturing, attracting, gathering, identifying, utilizing, and protecting talent, optimized the environment for talent development, converged resources from all parties, improved working mechanisms, strengthened service provision, focused on advancing the construction of the “Talent Homeland,” and created a talent ecosystem that attracts and retains talent both locally and from afar.

Red and Blue Talent Homeland
Since its inception in 2021, the “Red and Blue Talent Homeland” has actively pursued the development concept of “revitalizing the school with talent teams and enriching the school through social service.” It adheres to the guidance of “red” Party building to lead the “blue” field of science and technology, aiming to “unite talent, serve projects, connect resources, and drive development.” By establishing a “1+2+N” co-construction and sharing model, it has evolved into a comprehensive, large-scale, and branded service platform.
Moving forward, the university’s Party Committee will align with the requirements of Zhejiang “Talent Homeland” construction project, uphold the service concept of “being led by talent and driven by innovation, and empowering development,” and take the first batch of key construction units of “Talent Homeland” as a new starting point. It will further innovate and optimize the talent work system and mechanisms, integrate resources and forces from all parties, vigorously create a favorable atmosphere for respecting, loving, and gathering talent, continuously and deeply promote the construction of “talent lounges” and “talent homelands” at both the university and school levels, and focus on establishing a new talent service landmark characterized by a small homeland, extensive services and comprehensive functions with wide reach.
