TU Sci-tech Achievement Auction 2024 was held in the International Conference Hall of TU on the afternoon of December 25th. This event was guided by Taizhou Science and Technology Bureau, hosted by TU and co-organized by Zhejiang Wuyi Technology Co. Ltd. Han Deman, Vice President of TU, Feng Gencong, Third-level Researcher of Taizhou Science and Technology Bureau, Liang Zhenbo, Member of the Party Committee of Taizhou Science and Technology Investment Group, heads of TU’s Science and Technology Department, and directors of TU’s local research institutes attended the event. The event also attracted more than 30 enterprises and nearly 100 representatives. The first half of the event was hosted by Jin Yanxian, Director of the Science and Technology Department of TU.

At the beginning of the event, Han Dema made a speech on behalf of TU. Han summarized with detailed data that TU has done a series of work and achieved excellent results concerning scientific and technological innovation and scientific and technological achievements in recent years. He pointed out that this activity is an important practice of the university to deepen the cooperation between industry, academia and research, and to promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, which fully embodies the mission and responsibility of the university to serve the local economic development.

Han emphasized that the university would take the opportunity of the development strategy of “upgrading to a higher-level university, applying for doctoral degree conferring programs, and striving for a first-class university” to accelerate the construction of the university’s technology transfer system. TU aims to establish and improve the mechanism of transforming scientific and technological achievements, so as to smooth the channel of transforming scientific and technological achievements and technology transfer. The university also seeks to expand the new mode of cooperation between the government, industry, academia and research, and promote the effective convergence of scientific and technological achievements and industrial demand.

The auction promoted the synergy between the supply side and demand side of science and technology, eliminated information asymmetry and low efficiency of transformation of scientific and technological achievements, guided the output of a batch of high-quality scientific and technological achievements, and accelerated the transfer of more and better scientific and technological achievements of the university with independent intellectual property rights.

Feng Genchong highly praised TU in his speech for its scientific and technological innovation and achievements in the transformation of the remarkable achievements. He emphasized that the transformation of scientific and technological achievements is a key path to promoting regional industrial upgrading and achieving high-quality development of the economy. Feng hoped that this activity can set up a bridge of in-depth cooperation between the university and enterprises to help more scientific and technological achievements come out of the campus and take root in industries.

Feng called on all sectors of the society to continue to care about and support the cause of scientific and technological innovation, especially to strengthen attention and support for the transformation of scientific research achievements of universities.

Subsequently, Liang Zhenbo, Member of the Party Committee of Taizhou Science and Technology Innovation Investment Group Co., Ltd., presented a policy briefing on “Taizhou Science and Technology Innovation Investment.” Li Haitao from the Taizhou Branch of Zhejiang Wuyi Technology Co., Ltd. provided a detailed interpretation of policies related to the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and the registration of technology contracts, offering systematic guidance to enterprises and innovation entities and helping promote the exploration and practice of new models for achievement transformation.

During the roadshow session, Yang Zhongyi from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Jiang Shengtao from the School of Life Sciences presented their latest scientific and technological achievements, introducing the core technologies, innovative highlights, and practical application values of their projects to the participating guests and enterprise representatives. Through the roadshow, it was hoped that more high-quality projects would be transformed, and more enterprises would recognize the role of scientific and technological achievements in driving industrial transformation and upgrading.

Auctioneer auctions sci-tech achievements

A total of 17 scientific research achievements were showcased at this event, with a total starting price of 8.22 million yuan, covering various technical fields such as intelligent manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, and life health. After intense bidding, all 17 technological innovation achievements were successfully transacted, with a total transaction price exceeding 12.154 million yuan and a premium rate as high as 47.85%, fully demonstrating the strong market demand and high recognition for high-quality scientific research achievements.

Enterprises participating in the auction area bid for what they want

This matchmaking auction was not only an inspection of TU’s efforts in transforming scientific and technological achievements between universities and enterprises but also a centralized showcase of its scientific and technological innovation achievements. TU will further gather scientific and technological innovation talents and deliver more scientific and technological achievements.
