Opening Ceremony of Spanish Training Program at TU Yinlun Silk Road College successfully held

TU and Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd. jointly hosted the opening ceremony of the Spanish Training Program at the Yinlun Silk Road College via a hybrid online-offline format on the morning of January 17. The event connected four venues: Yinlun Headquarters (Tiantai, Zhejiang), TU (Jiaojiang, Zhejiang), Yinlun Shanghai Branch, and Yinlun Mexico Factory. Li Jianjun, Vice President and Member of the CPC TU Committee, attended and addressed the ceremony. Over 160 participants, including Ye Chunying, Director of Human Resources at Yinlun Co., Ltd., representatives from TU Yinlun Silk Road College, training instructors, and trainees, joined the meeting both online and offline.

Li Jianjun, on behalf of TU, introduced the institution’s educational strengths and achievements. He emphasized the university’s efforts in advancing international collaborations, including partnerships with prestigious global institutions, Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, international scientific research projects, and the establishment of joint laboratories and research bases. He noted that the long-term partnership with Yinlun Co., Ltd. has laid a solid foundation for the Silk Road College through initiatives such as the Yinlun Business School’s English training camps, salons, engineer-focused courses, Lean Thinking workshops, and operational excellence programs.

Li highlighted the achievements of the Yinlun Silk Road College since its establishment and stressed that the Spanish Training Program marks a significant step in aligning with the national Belt and Road Initiative, enhancing the college’s role in fostering industry-education integration. He expressed confidence in the program’s success in supporting the development of “Overseas Taizhou” enterprises.

Ye Chunying reviewed the collaborative activities between the university and Yinlun Co., Ltd., noting contributions from TU’s School of Intelligent Manufacturing, School of Business, School of Humanities, and School of Foreign Languages. She emphasized that the Spanish program addresses Yinlun’s global expansion needs, urging trainees to master the language efficiently and showcase the company’s commitment to learning. She pledged to refine the program based on feedback from instructors and participants.

Chen Pengzhan, Dean of the Yinlun Silk Road College, described the ceremony as a vivid example of educational innovation bridging China and Mexico. He outlined the program’s features:

1. Deep integration of language learning with corporate practices to ensure practical application.

2. Bidirectional interaction through hybrid teaching modes, engaging both local trainees and overseas employees in Mexico.

3. Comprehensive empowerment by leveraging resources from both institutions to create an immersive learning environment.

He added that the college will refine its training systems, expand practical platforms, and scale up collaborative outcomes to inspire future multilingual programs.

Zhou Haiying, Deputy Dean of the Yinlun Silk Road College, pledged ongoing support for the program, including adaptive teaching adjustments and knowledge sharing for future language initiatives. She encouraged trainees to actively practice Spanish in daily work and communication. Instructors and program managers also introduced the curriculum and class management plans.

Under the guidance of the Taizhou municipal government and through joint efforts by both partners, the Yinlun Silk Road College adheres to its mission of “rooted in Taizhou, serving enterprises, and embracing the world,” aiming to build a hub for talent development, technological innovation, and cultural exchange.

With Yinlun’s two operational factories in Mexico and a third “Diamond Factory” under construction, the company has dispatched nearly 150 employees—including frontline workers and managers in quality, operations, and engineering—to Mexico. While English remains the primary communication tool, Spanish proficiency is critical for deeper cultural integration. The Spanish Training Program, meticulously designed by Yinlun and TU, exemplifies the college’s commitment to industry-education collaboration and corporate growth.
