TU’s cultural envoy initiatives have garnered attention from multiple mainstream media outlets. On March 8 and 9, CCTV-4 (Chinese International Channel) and Zhejiang Satellite TV aired feature interviews with Professor Ye Gaofeng, the university’s municipal cultural envoy and Deputy Dean of the School of Art and Design, and the Tiantai Women’s Choir. On March 10, Zhejiang Daily published an article by Zheng Hong, Associate Professor of the School of Art and Design and another municipal cultural envoy, titled “Delivering Culture Is Temporary; Cultivating Culture Is Long-lasting.”

TV broadcast coverage
As a provincial social science-empowered cultural envoy and Taizhou cultural envoy, Ye Gaofeng has injected new vitality into the Tiantai Women’s Choir. “We must cherish every gathering and every moment we feel,” she said. Through her persistence and efforts, the choir’s artistic level has significantly improved. She has also promoted Taizhou culture and facilitated cultural exchange through a series of activities, earning widespread local praise and adding a vibrant chapter to the university’s cultural outreach.

Zhejiang Daily publication
Since being stationed in Yicheng Village in May 2024, Zheng Hong has focused on “leaving something lasting for the village.” After three months of research, she realized that “delivering” culture is temporary, while “cultivating” culture is enduring. With support from the university and Youxi Town, she transformed herself from a music teacher into a designer, creating a modern reading space that retains rural charm.
TU will continue fulfilling its cultural heritage mission by fully supporting cultural envoy work. The Party Committee’s Publicity Department will collaborate with relevant departments and academic schools to provide guidance and build platforms for cultural envoys at provincial and municipal levels, ensuring practical and impactful results.
