TU holds 2025 Internationalization Work Meeting

TU convened a meeting on internationalization work in the Second Meeting Room of the Jiaojiang Campus on the afternoon of March 10. Yue Chuanyong , President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC TU Committee, attended and delivered a speech. Zheng Lijun, Member of the Standing CPC TU Committee and Director of the Personnel Department, leaders of academic schools and relevant functional departments participated. The meeting was presided over by Li Jianjun, Vice President and Member of the Standing CPC TU Committee.

2025 Internationalization Work Meeting

Yue Chuanyong emphasized that internationalization serves as a crucial “engine” for the university’s goals of upgrading to a university, establishing doctoral programs, and becoming a first-class institution. It is a key indicator of the university’s educational standards and a vital driver for disciplinary development. He stressed the need to enhance awareness, implement internationalization tasks, accelerate the process, and promote quality improvement and connotative development to support the university’s strategic objectives.

During the meeting, Li Jianjun outlined plans for faculty and student exchanges, international student recruitment, and international cooperative education programs. Zheng Lijun introduced policies and measures to encourage faculty overseas visits. Wang Aiqin, Deputy Director (Chair) of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, conveyed the provincial annual report on educational openness and 2025 internationalization plans. Other attendees shared experiences, achievements, and ideas related to internationalization efforts.
