Uzbekistan’s Deputy Consul General in Shanghai and his delegation visit TU

On the afternoon of March 14th, Ubaydullaev Kutbiddin, Deputy Consul General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, and Consul Rakhmanov Khamidjon visited TU. The accompanying members include Wang Bei, Full-time Vice President of the Taizhou People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and Liang Jiayi, Director of the Foreign Liaison Department of the Taizhou Foreign Affairs Office, to visit Uzbek students studying here. Li Jianjun, Vice President and Member of the CPC TU Committee, attended the meeting. All the staff members of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department and 13 Uzbek students attended as well.

Meeting

Li Jianjun extended a warm welcome to the delegation and introduced TU and the cultivation of Uzbek students. He expressed the hope of strengthening cooperation and exchanges in the field of education with Uzbekistan, looking forward to more forms of cooperation projects to promote mutual visits of teachers and students and academic exchanges, and jointly improving educational quality.

Ubaydullaev Kutbiddin expressed heartfelt thanks for the warm reception from the university. He pointed out that exchanges between China and Uzbekistan in recent years have become increasingly close, such as frequent cooperation in various fields such as politics, economy, and culture. He praised Taizhou as a city with developed manufacturing and beautiful scenery and expressed his hope of establishing deeper cooperative relations with Taizhou so as to achieve resource sharing and complementary advantages in economy, trade, culture, and education. Meanwhile, he expressed sincere gratitude to TU for providing Uzbek students with a good teaching environment and living guarantees.

During the meeting, the two consuls had a cordial conversation with the 13 Uzbek students, inquiring in detail about their study experiences, living conditions in Taizhou, and their plans after graduation. The students actively spoke up, sharing their study experiences and interesting life stories at the university, expressing gratitude to the university and teachers, and exchanging views on their future career development plans. The atmosphere was lively, fully demonstrating the Uzbek students’ love for studying and living in China and their confidence in the future. After the meeting, the two consuls visited the university’s Student Entrepreneurship Park accompanied by relevant personnel from the university.

This visit built a more solid bridge for exchanges and cooperation between TU and Uzbekistan. Both sides expect to conduct in-depth cooperation in more fields, promote the internationalization of education, and contribute to enhancing the friendship between the Chinese and Uzbek peoples and promoting common development of China and Uzbekistan.
