The meeting summarized and exchanged experiences on the work of cultural envoys across Taizhou, and studied and deployed key tasks for the next stage. It was emphasized that it is necessary to raise political awareness, focus on key tasks, deepen work content, and advance the work of cultural envoys at a high level. The meeting also reported on the annual work progress of cultural envoy work. Three entities including TU, along with three cultural envoys such as Zheng Hong, delivered speeches for sharing.

With the title of “Giving Full Play to the Role of the Support Team to Fully Boost the Work of Cultural Envoys,” Cai Haijiang shared the university’s specific practices in policy support, management guidance, and resource integration, as well as its practical explorations and achievements in the work system of “cultural infiltration, nurturing roots and forging souls, brand building, and publicity and promotion.” Zheng Hong, an associate professor from the School of Art and Design, delivered a speech under the title of “Laying Foundations with ‘Six Ones’ and Achieving Growth with ‘N Times Exponentiation’,” focusing on her work in the village and plans for the next stage.

TU has thoroughly studied and implemented Xi Jinping Thought on Culture. It regards the work of cultural envoys as one of the practical actions to fulfill the university’s function of “cultural inheritance,” assist in deepening the “Ten Million Villages Renewal Project,” promote the construction of humanistic rural areas, and meet the cultural needs of grassroots people. This work also drives the university’s high-quality development and enhances its ability to serve the local community.

Over the past year since the work commenced, the university has supported cultural envoys in organizing, hosting, and assisting in over 20 grassroots theoretical publicities sessions and 22 cultural benefit-the-people activities. It has promoted the formation of cultural IPs with the concept of “one person, one brand” for cultural envoys. Relevant work has been reported multiple times by mainstream media outlets such as China Central Television (CCTV-4), Guangming Daily, China Education Online, Zhejiang TV, Zhejiang Daily, and Taizhou Daily. In the next stage, the university will continue to uphold its original aspiration and well organize, carry out, and implement all aspects of the cultural envoy work.
