As the nationwide undergraduate admissions process is underway, Zhu Jian, Secretary of the CPC TU Committee; Le Chuanyong, President and Deputy Secretary of the CPC TU Committee; and Li Jianjun, Vice President and Party Committee Member, recently visited the University’s admissions office to provide guidance and convey their appreciation to staff.
At the admissions site, the leaders carefully listened to a report from the Academic Affairs Office (Admissions Office) on the university’s recent admissions activities across different categories and batches nationwide. They inquired in detail about this year’s overall admissions arrangements and progress, inspected the on-site packaging and mailing of admission letters, and extended their regards to faculty and students who worked on campus during the summer break.
Regarding the upcoming work, the university leadership emphasized that the admissions process should be systematic, standardized, and data-accurate, ensuring smooth and error-free operations. They called for enhanced service quality—handling the dispatch of admission letters with care and attention, and providing patient and thorough responses to inquiries through the admissions hotline. They also highlighted the importance of further improving admissions informatization by refining institutional procedures, building internal platforms, and strengthening the application and oversight of admissions data.

Undergraduate admissions site for general category students in Zhejiang Province
As of now, the university has completed its admissions processes in Zhejiang Province for the General Category, Early Admission Batch (including targeted programs cultivating primary and secondary school teachers, grassroots healthcare professionals, and the “Three-in-One” comprehensive evaluation), Arts and Physical Education Categories, and the Vocational-to-Undergraduate Programs. Admissions in Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin, and Shaanxi have also been finalized. The mailing of admission letters began on July 19 and is being carried out progressively.
This year, the university has seen strong applicant interest nationwide. The number of students admitted at or above the national key and first-tier university cutoff scores has already approached last year’s total across all provinces and regions, with the final count expected to reach a new high. In particular, in Hunan, Henan, Hubei, Jiangxi, Shaanxi, Fujian, and Yunnan, the majority of admitted students exceeded these cutoff scores. Within Zhejiang Province, the targeted admissions programs continue to attract significant attention, achieving record-high results. In addition, admission scores for science and engineering programs in the general category have improved substantially compared with last year.
The university’s admissions across all provinces and batches is expected to be completed by mid-August. Prospective students and their families are encouraged to visit the university’s Undergraduate Admissions website (https://zs.tzc.edu.cn/) or follow the official WeChat account “台州学院招生” (Taizhou University Admissions) for real-time updates on admissions results and the mailing of admission letters.
