During the live broadcast, faculty and students remained fully engaged, listening attentively to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech and reflecting deeply on the profound historical significance and lasting contemporary relevance of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. The solemn military parade—with the People’s Army marching in powerful unison and columns of advanced weaponry on full display—stirred strong feelings of patriotism and national pride among the audience.

Faculty members noted that the hard-fought victory forged a great spirit of resistance, embodying devotion to the nation, moral integrity, and enduring strength of character. As a priceless spiritual legacy, it carries immense educational value and plays a vital role in fulfilling the fundamental mission of cultivating virtue through education and nurturing a new generation ready to shoulder the cause of national rejuvenation. They emphasized the need to honor this spirit through remembrance, take responsibility through inheritance, and transform it into a powerful driving force for the university’s high-quality development and the full realization of its educational mission.

“Remembering history is meant to help us build a brighter future,” said Lu Ningyu, a student from the School of Humanities, with deep passion. “As college students in this new era, we must carry forward the legacy of our revolutionary predecessors. Guided by the motto of ‘success may not be claimed by me, but I will contribute my share to it,’ we should weave our personal aspirations into the broader currents of national development. Through our youthful dedication and tireless efforts, we can contribute to the rejuvenation of the nation. This is the truest tribute to history and the strongest commitment to the future.”
