New breakthrough in provincial-level teaching achievement awards

Taizhou University distinguished itself with multiple high-quality teaching reform achievements, winning 3 first prizes and 3 second prizes in accordance with “Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government Notice on Commending the Recipients of the 2025 Zhejiang Provincial Teaching and Education Outstanding Contribution Award” (Zhe Zheng Fa [2025] No. 20) and “Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education Notice on Publishing the List of Recipients for the 2025 Zhejiang Provincial Teaching and Education Outstanding Contribution Award” (Zhe Jiao Ting Han [2025] No. 204). Additionally, TU faculty participated in other 3 prize-winning projects.

This not only marks a new breakthrough in winning provincial-level first prizes but also, with excellent performance in both the total number of awards and their level, positions the university among the top tier of similar institutions. This is the affirmation of the university’s undergraduate education teaching reform and practical capabilities, and a reflection of its active response to the development requirements of higher education in the new era and its service to regional economic and social development, signaling that the university’s educational level and talent cultivation quality have reached a new height.

This success stems from the strong, effective planning of TU’s Party Committee and Administrative Leadership. In recent years, the Committee has focused on talent cultivation as the core of its reforms, establishing the development of high-level teaching achievements as a strategic priority. Senior leadership spearheaded this initiative, integrating internal and external resources and convening numerous meetings to guide the refinement and submission of these projects. This provided robust policy, resource, and environmental support, enabling high-quality outcomes to emerge.

The awarded achievements span multiple disciplines and educational levels, reflecting the dedicated work of faculty on the front lines of teaching and management. They also underscore the university’s commitment to serving regional economic and social development.

This breakthrough has boosted morale and reinforced the university’s confidence in its path of connotative and distinctive development. Party Secretary Zhu Jian stated that the university will build on this success to further integrate reforms in education, technology, and talent. It will continue to deepen the concept of symbiotic development with the city, enhance teaching reforms, and improve the quality of talent cultivation. This effort will provide stronger support for accelerating the construction of a high-level, application-oriented university and the realization of its goals, demonstrating greater accomplishment in contributing to provincial and national education initiatives.
