4,241 undergraduate freshmen and 262 postgraduate freshmen arrived at Taizhou University and embarked on this brand-new journey and turned a new page in their lives on September 13.

Early in the morning, TU Party Secretary Zhu Jian, President and Deputy Party Secretary Le Chuanyong, and other university leaders led teams to go into the welcome points on both campuses to guide work and express regards to on-site staff and student volunteers.

“Welcome to Taizhou University. Where are you from?” “Have you seen your dormitory?” “Are you getting used to Taizhou?” “Have you set any small goals for your university life?” University leaders cordially communicated with the arriving Class of 2025 freshmen and their parents, learning in detail about the freshmen’s feelings and needs, and took photos with them. The leaders encouraged new students to cherish their university time, complete the role transition as soon as possible, and scientifically plan their university life. They also encouraged the freshmen to set lofty ideals, dare to pioneer and innovate, enhance their abilities through practice, and strive to grow into good young people of the new era with “patriotic sentiment, pioneering spirit, and solid skills”.

After inquiring in detail about the current progress of new student registration, Zhu Jian emphasized that everyone must uphold the “student-oriented” concept, conscientiously and warmly carry out the welcoming work and freshman entrance education, ensuring that all tasks are safe, orderly, efficient, and warm, allowing the Class of 2025 new students to fully feel the warmth of TU.

“Welcome to Taizhou University!” Conspicuous banners and warm slogans were displayed. Each school and college designed unique and fun-filled activities to welcome the new students. Everyone welcomed the new classmates with enthusiasm and sincerity, carefully crafting the “first impression of Taizhou University” for the newcomers.

The slogan “Youth is in its prime, the School of Humanities walks with you” caught the eye, as the School of Humanities warmly welcomed every new student of TU. The School of Pharmaceutical and Chemical Engineering arranged the new students’ names within the numbers “2025” on a display board, winning praise from new students and parents. The mascots Lingna Belle and Labubu from the School of Art and Design added vitality to the welcome scene, with exclamations like “The School is so cool!” prompting new students to take photos. Additionally, the specially crafted welcome gifts from each school and college for the new students integrated campus cultural elements while hiding exclusive surprises.

“My first impression of the university is very good. It’s not only beautiful with a clean and tidy environment, but the senior students are also very enthusiastic. I’m very happy to join TU. I believe I can adapt to university life quickly,” said Chen Yuhang, a new student from the Materials Forming and Control Engineering major.

Early in the morning, the “red vests” were already shuttling at the train stations and within the campus. Pick-up services, luggage carrying, campus guidance, accommodation check-in—there were busy figures of volunteers and service support staff everywhere, who enthusiastically provided passage for Class of 2025 new students.


Welcome scene
Class advisors and counselors were in place, offering best wishes to each new student. Volunteers maintained patience and smiles, guiding new students and parents through the registration process. The property management’s luggage carrying service helped new students transport luggage. Security guards guarded safety under the scorching sun, giving new students a full sense of security. Dormitory managers served with smiles, conveying the warmth of home to the new students.
