Zhu Jian led delegation to visit International Confucian Association

Taizhou University Party Secretary Zhu Jian led a delegation to Beijing to visit the International Confucian Association on the afternoon of September 23. Talks with the association Secretary-General Ma Jianfei, Office Director Cui Chunyu were held. Taizhou University Vice President and Party Committee Member Li Jianjun, and Vice Dean of the Hehe Culture Research Institute Yang Gongfa accompanied.

During the talks, Zhu Jian expressed gratitude for the support of the International Confucian Association and detailed TU’s distinctive achievements in Harmonious Culture research. He emphasized that Taizhou is the heartland of this culture and that the university has long been dedicated to its theoretical study. He expressed his hope that joining the Association would serve as a catalyst to further enhance the university’s academic influence.

In response, Ma Jianfei stated that the Confucian Association would leverage its resource advantages in talent, academia, and international networks to support the Taizhou University Harmonious Culture Research Institute. This support will focus on deepening theoretical research and strengthening its international dissemination.

That same evening, Zhu Jian met with Professor Peng Yongjie, Dean of the Renmin University of China Confucius Research Institute. Both sides affirmed that Harmonious Culture is an essence of China’s excellent traditional culture, possessing significant theoretical value and practical significance as an ideological resource for promoting civilizational mutual learning and building a global community with a shared future.

They reviewed their history of cooperation and held in-depth discussions on theoretical research and future collaboration mechanisms, reaching a clear consensus for further joint efforts.

These meetings signify that the cooperation between TU and these leading institutions has entered a stage of substantive advancement following the Harmonious Culture Research Institute’s membership in the International Confucian Association. In recent years, the Institute has achieved notable results in theoretical research, co-hosted academic forums on Harmonious Culture, and contributed to local development. This new linkage with the International Confucian Association and the Renmin University of China Confucius Research Institute is poised to inject fresh momentum into Harmonious Culture research at TU.
