The 2nd Member Congress of Taizhou University Alumni Association

Zhu Jian delivers a speech
The conference opened with the national anthem. In his remarks, Zhu Jian, on behalf of the university’s faculty and students, welcomed the alumni representatives and expressed sincere gratitude to alumni at home and abroad for their long-standing care and support. He reviewed the major achievements and historic breakthroughs made since the university’s Fourth Party Congress, and noted that alumni are among the university’s most valuable resources—its staunch supporters and important “ambassadors”. Zhu Jian said the conference coincided with the university’s ongoing study and implementation of the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the Eighth Plenary Session of the 15th Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee. As the university works to refine its “15th Five-Year Plan” and push toward key goals such as “upgrading to a higher-level university, applying for doctoral programs,” the conference served not only as an important event for alumni organizations, but also as a new starting point for the university and its alumni to move forward together.
Zhu emphasized that the university will continue to prioritize alumni engagement, fully support the alumni association in carrying out its work, improve the alumni service system, and optimize an “online + offline” communication platform. These efforts aim to make the alumni association a warm home that connects, serves, and empowers alumni. He expressed the hope that the new council will build on past achievements, strengthen its role as a bridge and link, innovate working mechanisms, enrich activities, expand services, and unite alumni in safeguarding and strengthening the TU community. He also encouraged alumni to return often to the university, deepen interaction and cooperation with the university to achieve resource sharing and mutual benefit, and continue to carry forward the spirit of TU through outstanding accomplishments.

Le Chuanyong delivers a work report
On behalf of the first council of the Alumni Association, Le Chuanyong delivered a work report titled “Connecting with Alma Mater, Gathering Wisdom and Strength; Bonding with Alumni, Striving and Sailing Forward.” He reviewed the association’s work over the past six years in four areas: organizational development, signature activities, alumni services, and university–enterprise cooperation and philanthropic giving. He noted that the association has remained committed to its mission of “serving alumni, alma mater, and society,” and has helped build a broad, efficient, and vibrant alumni network—contributing to the university’s goals of upgrading, doctoral-program development, and progress toward first-class status.
Looking ahead, Le emphasized the need to strengthen Party-building leadership, improve work systems, enhance the construction and security management of the alumni information database, and build a solid data foundation for alumni engagement. He also called for efforts to better address alumni needs, integrate resources, stimulate organizational vitality, innovate activity platforms, and deepen cooperation with alumni organizations and local communities to build a “development community” between the alma mater and alumni.
In addition, he proposed strengthening cultural development to promote mutual progress between alumni and the university and to provide sustained momentum for deeper integration and long-term development.
