At the Training

Yao Guowen delivers a speech

Yao Guowen extended a warm welcome to all the trainees and expressed his gratitude to all who have long supported the work of Zhejiang Foreign Affairs Yearbook. He pointed out that since its compilation, the Yearbook has faithfully recorded every step of Zhejiang’s foreign affairs, from serving the province’s opening-up to helping enterprises “go global” for international markets, and from deepening exchanges with sister cities for people-to-people friendship to providing targeted support for major foreign affairs activities. The Yearbook has not only embodied the wisdom and efforts of foreign affairs personnels across the province, but also provided irreplaceable and detailed evidence for summarizing experience, analyzing the situation and planning for the future. Yao stressed that it is necessary to enhance our political stance, and earnestly review and summarize last year’s achievements in foreign and Hong Kong/Macao affairs with a strong sense of responsibility and mission. It is important to study diligently, think critically, improve professional capabilities, master the standards and requirements of compilation work, and learn from advanced experience and practices, thus truly achieving insights and knowledge from learning and applying what has been learned into practice. We must adhere to seeking truth from facts, ensure the authenticity and authority of materials, focus on innovation and breakthroughs, and enhance the readability and practicality of the Yearbook.

Le Chuanyong delivers a speech

Le Chuanyong expressed his sincere gratitude to the Department of Foreign Affairs of Zhejiang Province for providing a valuable platform for exchange. Le first introduced TU’s basic information, internationalization progress and achievements, and expressed his expectation to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning with brother organizations in yearbook compilation, so as to jointly record the achievements of Zhejiang foreign affairs. He stressed that the university has always taken internationalization as an important strategic direction and actively responded to the national call for opening up in education. Up to now, it has established stable cooperative relations with more than 50 universities and institutions overseas (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), carrying out extensive cooperation and exchanges in faculty and student exchanges, joint research, cooperative education and mutual recognition of academic credits. He pointed out that yearbook compilation should not only objectively record achievements, but also accurately convey development concepts and practical experience. TU will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation with other universities around the world, constantly improve the international education level, and contribute more educational strength to regional opening-up.
