Under bright summer skies and in the fullness of youth, Taizhou University held its 2026 graduation ceremonies across its campuses on June 15–16. Carrying the best wishes of their teachers and their hopes for the future, all graduates set out on a new journey in life. University leaders Zhu Jian, Le Chuanyong, Han Deman, Li Jianjun, Ding Yizhi, Zhu Jianliang, Chen Wei, Cai Haijiang, Zheng Lijun, and Wu Yinyin attended the ceremonies and took their seats on the rostrum. Heads of the university’s schools and relevant administrative departments, along with faculty representatives, also attended.

Xiang Fengri, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Taizhou University Committee, presided over the graduation ceremony. Li Jianjun, Vice President and member of the CPC Taizhou University Committee, read out the commendation decisions for outstanding graduates at the provincial and university levels and the appointment decision for Alumni Liaison Ambassadors.
Among the Class of 2026, 188 graduates were awarded the title of “Outstanding Graduate of Zhejiang Province,” 497 were awarded the title of “Outstanding Graduate of the University,” and 155 were appointed “Alumni Liaison Ambassadors.”

President Le Chuanyong delivers a speech
Le Chuanyong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Taizhou University Committee and President, extended the warmest congratulations and best wishes to all graduates of the Class of 2026 on behalf of the university, and delivered a speech titled “Mountains and Seas in Heart, Harmony Reaching Far, Pioneering New Ground to Chase Dreams.” He fully affirmed that the students had accumulated knowledge and academic competence through diligent study and steadfast practice, and had honed strong skills through hands-on experience, vividly demonstrating the spirit and sense of mission of TU students in the new era. As the tide of the times rolls forward, he said, TU students have never stopped moving ahead, keeping pace with the times, writing their youth with remarkable achievements, bringing honor to the university, and practicing the spirit of dedication with sincere hearts-a vivid testament to the responsibility of young people.
Le Chuanyong offered three pieces of advice to all graduates as they left the campus behind and set out into the vast open fields of life:
First, embrace a vision as vast as mountains and seas, and discern the major trends of the times with a broad perspective. A university education has never been confined to professional knowledge in books or theoretical frameworks in the classroom; more importantly, it cultivates the ability to think independently, break with convention, and grasp the essence of things. This is the most valuable asset of your learning journey and will serve as a solid foundation as you venture into the wider world and establish yourselves in life. I hope you will be neither trapped by temporary success or failure, nor confused by momentary gains or losses, neither blindly follow worldly trends, nor be swayed by a restless and impetuous mindset. Stay grounded in the present while planning your life with a long-term view; keep your original aspiration amid the noise, build strength through steady accumulation, and navigate every critical stage of life’s journey with a sure step.
Second, cultivate the wisdom of harmony and cooperation, and gather strength from all sides with an inclusive mind. Looking back on your campus life, you were accompanied day and night by classmates from all corners of the country. Diverse ideas collided and mingled, helping you understand that differences are the norm and that inclusiveness is what enables growth. On the road ahead, I hope all graduates will remain open-minded: stay true to yourselves without clinging stubbornly to your own views, think independently without being self-absorbed, learn from one another through exchange, pool strength through collaboration, and surpass yourselves through integration. Embrace the wide world with a mind as open and inclusive as the ocean, meet every challenge in a spirit of unity, and unlock more brilliance and possibility in life as you move toward each other and achieve mutual success.
Third, integrate your aspirations with the pioneering spirit, and shoulder the mission of family and country with sincere devotion and unchanging heart. Young people draw their greatest confidence from staying grounded and taking root through down-to-earth efforts; the highest value of youth lies in walking forward together with the country. I hope all graduates will carry forward the spirit of the university motto, “Nobler Morality, Greater Erudition, Quicker Adaptation, Better Application,” always cherish devotion to family and country, carry on the pioneering spirit, and sharpen solid skills. Turn the knowledge gained through years of study into practical abilities to serve society, pursue careers, and start businesses; blend the burning youthful ideals in your hearts into the tide of building a strong country and rejuvenating the Chinese nation. In every post, fulfill your duties and stay true to your original aspiration; on every journey, remain down-to-earth and live up to your youth. Keep your personal growth closely aligned with the development of the country, and contribute to national building with the strength of your youth.
“Your alma mater will always be your strongest backing and your warmest harbor. No matter where you are or what positions you hold in the future, please remember that this will always be your home. Do come back often.” Le Chuanyong extended his sincere wishes to all graduates of the Class of 2026: “May you live up to the gifts of the times and the passion of youth, stay true to your original aspiration with sincerity, pursue your ideals with perseverance, and write a brilliant chapter belonging to the youth of the new era!” After extending his best wishes for their future, Le Chuanyong took group photos with all the graduates in batches.
Remarks by Faculty Representatives
Hua Xiaofeng, a faculty representative from Linhai Campus and a teacher from the School of Artificial Intelligence, reviewed the students’ growth and transformation during their time at the university and urged them to maintain the passion and perseverance for lifelong learning, courageously correct mistakes and break through self-imposed limitations, actively embrace the intelligent era, and strive to become trendsetters in science and technology. Wu Yanqiu, a teacher from the School of Foreign Languages, extended best wishes to all graduates, encouraging them to brave the winds and waves, remain true to their original aspirations and as sincere as ever, safeguard the passion and sincerity in their hearts as they embrace a broad life, remain hopeful when shouldering responsibilities, and stay bold in thought and action while handling matters with composure.
Xue Wei, a faculty representative from Jiaojiang Campus and a teacher from the School of Life Sciences, expressed the hope that all graduates, wherever they may be, would always uphold responsibility and commitment, become not only adapters to their environment but also creators of it, remain kind and upright in a complex world, stay true to themselves and guard their hearts, and keep pursuing lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement amid the tides of the times. “Although the road of life is long, the crucial steps are often only a few, especially when one is young.” Drawing on her own growth experience, Wang Hongyun, a teacher from the School of Intelligent Manufacturing (Aeronautical Engineering), encouraged the graduates to set a clear direction and keep striving, always bearing in mind that with fire in their hearts and light in their eyes, they will find their way forward.
A Graduate Representative Delivers a Speech
Wang Yijia, a graduate representative from Linhai Campus and the School of Marxism, recounted the warm daily moments and personal transformation of her four-year campus life. She said she would carry the gains and emotions of these four years, live out the university motto “Nobler Morality, Greater Erudition, Quicker Adaptation, Better Application,” and bravely move on to the next stage of her life. Mei Zhanlu, a student from the School of Teacher Education (Physical Education), reflected on his own growth experience. He hoped that everyone would never settle for mediocrity, bravely do what they want to do, and become who they want to be. He also wished that every graduate would head toward their own mountains and seas with the confidence and strength gained at TU and with an indomitable spirit.
Tian Yuanyuan, a graduate representative from Jiaojiang Campus and the School of Art and Design, reviewed her journey of gaining admission, through unremitting effort, to the industrial design program at the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University. Expressing deep gratitude to the university, she said she would carry the confidence given by her alma mater to design a better version of herself and a better future. Xu Jiaming, a graduate student from the School of Materials Science and Engineering, recalled the moments of his three years at the university. He said that wherever he might be, he would never forget the warm and united family of TU, nor the kindness of his teachers, who worked tirelessly and spared no effort in sharing their knowledge. He also hoped that wherever they might be, all graduates would contribute to society and stay true to their original aspirations while fulfilling their ambitions.
The long wind may blow ten thousand miles, but lofty aspirations remain unchanged; setting out toward mountains and seas, we forge a new journey like a song. Amid the moving melody of the whole audience singing the university anthem, the Taizhou University Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 came to a successful close. May all graduates hold fast to their original aspirations, pursue what they love, and still shine brightly when they return from life’s long voyages.
Following the graduation ceremony, the university also held a degree conferral ceremony, and all graduates took group photos with the President.
