Military training mobilization meeting

The military training mobilization meeting for students of grade 2024 was held at Jiaojiang and Linhai campuses in the morning of September 11. Yang Jianguo, Vice President and Member of the CPC TU committee, Han Deman, Vice President, Xiang Fengri, Deputy Secretary of the CPC TU committee, Cai Haijiang, Member of the CPC TU Standing committee and Director of the Publicity Department, and instructors of the Taizhou Detachment of the Armed Police Force were present at the meeting.

Yang Jianguo and Xiang Fengri made a mobilization speech. On behalf of the university, they expressed their thanks to the officers of the Taizhou Detachment of the Armed Police Force and the retired college student soldiers undertaking the military training task. They pointed out that student military training is an important part of student education in colleges and universities. It is an important way to comprehensively implement the Party’s education policy, the military strategic policy of the new era and the overall national security concept. Strengthening national defense education and carrying out military skills training is not only a requirement of national law and school curriculum arrangement, but also a need for students to grow up. They hoped that students would do the following in military training: First, be firm in their beliefs and readily correct their attitudes. They should inherit the revolutionary tradition, carry forward the revolutionary spirit, enhance the concept of national defense and plant family and national sentiment, follow the Party and its guidance, be a dreamcatcher and achieve their best in the new era; second, train hard and sharpen their will. Do not be afraid of hard work, tiredness, and difficulties, and duly complete the training program; third, strictly abide by the discipline and assume refined style. Take the soldiers as their example and develop good habits.

The person in charge of the university military training corps emphasized that military training is the comprehensive implementation of the Party’s education policy. It helps to strengthen students’ concept of national defense and the quality of the important initiatives of the students. They stated that they would adhere to the scientific content of the university’s military training, uphold the excellent traditions of the People’s Army, impose strict requirements, exercise patience, conduct civilized training, lead by example, and strive for excellence in completing the military training tasks. They also expressed their hope that students would elevate national defense construction to the strategic level of the survival and development of the Chinese nation, consciously aligning their personal development with the fate of the country and continuously strengthening their senses of duty and responsibility. They emphasized that military training is not only a form of training but also a journey and a treasure, encouraging all students to cultivate a mindset of “diligence and daring to hone oneself”, obey orders, follow commands, demonstrate heroism and tenacity, train hard, and achieve physical and psychological sublimation.

After the mobilization meeting, the military training battalions and companies quickly formed up and went to their respective training areas, starting a 14-day military training. Students will be trained with formation, military boxing, straightening up the quarters, national defense education and others.
