On the sunny afternoon of November 23rd, TU’s Jiaojiang Campus came alive with the excitement of the annual marathon. This year, the event saw enthusiastic participation from international students, adding a colorful and diverse energy to the race.
For many international students, this was their first time taking part in a marathon, and the experience left a lasting impression. Chenlijia from Uzbekistan shared her excitement, saying: “This is my first time participating in such a running marathon. The atmosphere was great; we all did some warm-up exercises before the marathon and started feeling refreshed. The fact that the teachers were participating with the students gave us a lot of motivation. The marathon was very exciting, and at the end, we were awarded commemorative medals.”
Hamada from Yemen also reflected on his experience: “This was my first time experiencing the thrill of participating in a marathon. It was an incredibly beautiful and enjoyable experience. Despite feeling extremely tired while running, I was also having a lot of fun. I would like to express my gratitude to those who organized this event, as it was truly something new and wonderful.”
Held in the beautiful setting of Jiaojiang Campus, the marathon was not just a test of physical endurance but also a celebration of unity and determination. Events like this provide international students with a chance to integrate with the local community, foster friendships, and embrace new cultural experiences. These are moments like these that make studying abroad a truly enriching journey.
Congratulations to all the participants for their incredible spirit and determination!
